Police blotter: Trio arrested after late-night vandalism spree


Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

10:04 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Colfax Avenue reported vandalism to a vehicle.

10:34 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 600 block of Sutton Way reported theft and fraud by an employee.

11:05 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Buena Vista Street reported a man selling drugs.

11:17 a.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man and a woman assaulted a recycling customer and fled. The situation was mediated.

1:48 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported an attempted residential burglary. Someone had knocked and turned the door handle twice last night.

3:13 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Pine Lane reported a vehicle theft.

6:25 p.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of Sutton Way reported check fraud.

7:24 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Ophir Street reported vandalism to all four tires of her vehicle.

10:42 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported a possibly physical fight between a man and a woman.

1:49 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a drug issue.

Tuesday

9 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Jones Ridge Road reported a possible squatter.

11:05 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Blue Ridge Road reported threats and an assault.

1:15 p.m. — A woman from the 13000 block of Peardale Road reported a dog had killed two of her chickens and was fighting with her dog.

2:03 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Conservation Road reported a burglary to a vehicle.

2:26 p.m. — A caller from a 12000 block of Robinson Road reported Internet theft.

2:48 p.m. — A man from Bowman Lake and Rucker Lake roads reported a cabin had been burglarized.

4:09 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Squirrel Creek Road reported a man stole beer from a store, and was in front drinking and yelling at customers. A witness reported the man pulled a knife. The man could not be located.

4:17 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Lime Kiln Road reported a goat stuck in a wire fence, which could not be located.

4:54 p.m. — A woman from the 20000 block of Clydesdale Road reported vandalism with a gate torn off its hinges.

8:48 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Walker Drive reported a runaway; a be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued.

11:01 p.m. — A caller reported a person on Facebook was trying to sell her drugs.

11:06 p.m. — A caller from bear River High School reported four juveniles had broken into a bus and had been chased off.

Tuesday

9:13 a.m. — A caller from Zion Street reported a theft from a store.

Wednesday

2:05 a.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported three men knocking down newspaper racks and trash barrels, and who then tried to get in the caller’s vehicle. All three were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
