Police blotter: Hair-pulling brawlers reported


Grass Valley Police Department

Thursday

8:39 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a man knocked a snowman off a bench and then was banging on a payphone, trying to get money out.

9:37 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Main Street reported four men using drugs in a parking lot; they could not be located.

10:16 a.m. — A pregnant woman from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a woman intentionally struck her with a cart. The situation was mediated.

11:09 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Mill Street reported the theft of two dolls.

12:06 p.m. — A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported juveniles in a vehicle doing drugs.

12:09 p.m. — A caller from Silver Springs High School reported several students under the influence of marijuana, who were cited.

1 p.m. — A caller reported an assault, with no injuries.

1:06 p.m. — A caller from Brentwood Drive and East Main Street reported finding a large bucket full of different people’s unopened mail.

1:33 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported a shoplifter.

2:01 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of French Avenue reported a man receiving scam phone calls about winning a Mercedes and money.

3:39 p.m. — A man from Highway 49 and Idaho-Maryland Road reported someone shot a BB at his vehicle.

3:46 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of McCourtney Road reported a man undressing and re-dressing in a gazebo. He was gone when an officer arrived.

4:06 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Neal Street reported the possible theft of a dog.

4:16 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Ridge Road reported juveniles running in and out of a parking lot, refusing to leave. They were admonished.

9”48 p.m. — A woman from the 800 block of West Main Street reported a man pulled her by the hair; he was cited and the parties were separated.

11:35 p.m. — A caller from Washington and Appleton streets reported a garbage can on fire.

11:44 p.m. — A man from Dorsey Drive reported a woman tried to pull his hair, then fled.

Friday

12:35 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of South Church Street reported a woman tearing up a house, demanding money for drugs. A second call reported a dispute at 1:03 a.m. Mental Health was contacted.

8:04 a.m. — A man from Fairless Lane reported someone broke into his house and stole his marijuana prescription.

8:33 a.m. — A man from Torrey Pines Drive reported a relative had been stealing his pain medications, so he put an epilepsy medication in the bottle instead, which the relative stole. He was concerned about possible side effects of that medication.

11:04 a.m. — A caller from Chicago Park Powerhouse reported two people had cut the lock and were camping on the property. One was extremely drunk.

11:58 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lakeshore North reported the theft of a cell phone.

12:07 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Skaith Bend reported money had been taken from a bank account.

12:08 p.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Pioneer Way reported the theft of a firearm.

1:13 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Crooked Arrow Lane reported a residential burglary.

3:115 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Benedict Canyon Lane reported a trespasser.

5:03 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Ridge Road reported possible drug activity.

10:25 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Street reported a man refusing to leave. He seemed to be burning a table in the fireplace, with embers going into the trees.

11:59 p.m. — A caller from Manzanita Diggins Drive reported offroading vehicles.

Thursday

11:24 a.m. — A woman from Mine Rock Road reported people are threatening her and stealing items from her car. She said they opened her car door and her battery died.

12:21 p.m. — A woman from Nevada Street reported a man trying to break a window.
