Police blotter: Bounty hunters draw crowd


Grass Valley Police Department

Thursday

11:14 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported a man urinating in a back yard who was possibly a squatter in a foreclosed residence.

2:09 p.m. — A caller from Dow Alexander Park reported a drunken person screaming at other people. The person was told to move along.

2:13 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of West Main Street reported a runaway juvenile who was located and taken into custody.

2:37 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Old Tunnel Road reported a stolen vehicle.

4:41 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported vandalism to bathrooms.

7:09 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of West Main Street reported a transient sleeping on a porch who had been asked to leave three times already.

9:25 p.m. — A caller from East Main Street and Sierra College Drive reported a woman chasing a man down the street, screaming for help. They could not be located.

Friday

12:30 a.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported vandalism to a dumpster.

7:07 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of South Church Street reported that a man was going through his unlocked vehicle about 30 minutes ago. Nothing was taken.

8:53 a.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of Ryder Court reported a call from a caretaker, saying she was in Canada and needed money.

9:03 a.m. — A woman from the 18000 block of Mustang Valley Place reported that a person who was stalking her cut a fence and stomped it down.

10:05 a.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Green Valley Road reported a sitter stole a dog.

10:06 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of McCourtney Road reported a man with a dog that was off leash and a child without a helmet.

11:27 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Bissell Place reported two runaway juveniles, who subsequently returned.

1:18 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Greenhorn Road reported promiscuous shooting.

4:03 p.m. — Bail bond agents requested assistance with an FTA suspect in the 18000 block of North Cherry Creek Road. They reported a crowd was gathering and a woman in the residence was becoming hostile. They were advised about trespassing laws.

5:32 p.m. — A woman from the 22000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported being assaulted by a woman.

6:36 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Siesta Drive reported an argument in which a man threw a kitchen knife at a wall. He then left.

6:38 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported machine gun fire.

7:21 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Oak Ridge Road reported hearing a shotgun blast.

10:12 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Rollins Park Drive reported a possible burglary with a door ajar. Nothing was found.

Friday

2:30 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Fisher Court reported someone possibly breaking in. She said he garage door was opening and closing and she heard someone walking in her residence. Nothing was found.
