Police blotter: Drunken argument over driving ends in arrest


Grass Valley Police Department

Saturday

7:29 a.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of East Main Street reported a person trying to get in through a locked gate; the suspect could not be located.

7:51 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Manor Drive reported her vehicle had been ransacked last night.

7:57 a.m. — A woman from the 100 block of East Drive reported her vehicle was broken into, with change missing.

9:01 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported a burglary, with a back fence having been cut.

9:45 a.m. — A man from the 100 block of Success Mine Loop reported a vehicle break-in.

11:38 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Spree Avenue reported a vehicle had been broken into, with money missing.

11:45 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Arcadia Drive reported a vehicle break-in, with a flashlight stolen.

11:53 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of North Church Street reported a person lying on the ground, having a conversation with someone who is not there. The person then became violent and was hitting a car, then began running around. The person was taken to the hospital.

11:59 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Spree Avenue reported a wallet and jacket had been stolen from a vehicle.

12:01 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported a physical fight in a room.

12:21 p.m. — A woman reported a vehicle in the 100 block of Glasson Way had been broken into.

3:25 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South School Street reported physical abuse. A man was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse, possessing drug paraphernalia and two outstanding warrants.

4:54 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported transients camping behind a parking lot; they were moving on.

5:15 p.m. — A caller from Rockwood Drive reported a theft from a vehicle.

7:12 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Huntington Court reported a theft from a vehicle.

9:07 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported the theft of an orange Mongoose bike.

11:34 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported someone trying to kick in an apartment door; no one was located.

Sunday

1:50 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Whiting Street reported three men in an argument over who will drive home because they are all drunk. A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

11:48 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a neighbor stole her purse.

12:16 p.m. — A man from Rockwood Drive reported his vehicles were broken into.

12:59 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Cambridge Court reported a possible attempted break-in.

1:14 p.m. — A woman from Lucas Lane reported items missing from a vehicle.

1:49 p.m. — A man from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a possibly drunken man at the ATM was throwing pine nuts at him.

3:32 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported a person on a mental health hold just ran away on foot; the person was located and taken back to the hospital.

4:17 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported having difficulty turning on her oxygen. She called again at 4:42 p.m. and was taken to the hospital. At 5:25 p.m., the hospital reported she was being uncooperative. She was arrested on suspicion of causing a disturbance and annoying the 911 system.

9:42 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Golden Gate Terrace reported three men looking in vehicles; they could not be located.

11:24 p.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of East Main Street reported an argument with people who broke into a room. A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and committing a felony while on bail.

6:44 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Packard Drive reported theft from unlocked vehicles.

9 a.m. — A caller from McCourtney and Lime Kiln roads reported 10 cows on the road.

10:10 a.m. — A caller form the 23000 block of Rosewood Road reported eggs had been thrown at a house.

11:39 a.m. — caller from Bear River High School reported a large physical fight during a soccer game, with players attacking other players; fans were fighting, too. A player reported having assaulted another player. At 3:51 p.m., a caller from Auburn Faith Hospital reported a patient with a swollen eye and a laceration to the head from the altercation.

2:17 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Shelter Court reported a fight with a man spitting on a woman and breaking items. The fight was reported to be verbal only and the suspect was gone.

2:51 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Loa Court reported vandalism.

4:18 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Mayflower Drive reported money and change stolen from a vehicle.

4:29 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Hansen Lane reported a drunken female driver.

4:49 p.m. — A caller from Washington and Alpha roads reported a man running up and down the road, screaming, who threw a couch on a woman and hit her in the chest. He could not be located.

5:15 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Alderwood Way reported four or five gunshots.

6:40 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Street reported a possible break-in to a building.

11:20 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Pine Street reported a very drunken man fell over.

2:26 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Drummond Street reported a man assaulted a woman.

Sunday

7:18 p.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported a possible burglary in progress to a vehicle.
