Police blotter: Truck occupants offered candy, then sex

Thursday

9:46 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Penstock Drive reported the theft of sunglasses and other items from a vehicle.

10:34 a.m. — A caller reported the theft of an EBT card.

11:19 a.m. — A woman from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported a man punched and kicked a Dachshund; he could not be located.

11:36 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Freeman Lane reported ongoing theft issues.

2:51 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported child abuse and drug use.

4:38 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1100 block of East Main Street reported a theft.

6:24 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Washington Street reported the theft of a stroller.

6:26 p.m. — A caller from Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital reported a stabbing victim; a report was taken.

7:21 p.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported vandalism of freshly laid cement.

9:20 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Colfax East reported four or five gunshots; nothing was located.

9:41 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 200 block of East Main Street reported a door had been broken open.

10:14 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported the theft of a wallet.

1:25 p.m. — A man from the 300 block of Clark Street reported items missing from the apartment of a deceased woman.

1:46 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Church Street reported the theft of a phone and money.

4:46 p.m. — A caller from Bennett Street reported a woman and a man in a grey sports car accosted two teens and the woman asked if they wanted candy. The man then said, “Then we can have sex,” before driving away.

5:25 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported a driver drinking a tall can of Coors.

5:29 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of East Main Street reported a woman stole a phone.

5:44 p.m. — A woman reported a man stole a vehicle from Sacramento and might be in the 1400 block of Segsworth Way.

6:11 p.m. — A woman from a business in the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported stopping a shoplifter, who was cited.

7:02 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a man trying to get in her residence via the ceiling.

9:43 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported two men pulled a knife, then left the scene.

9:58 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a woman possibly under the influence who had almost fallen twice. She then was caught trying to shoplift cosmetics and beauty supplies. She was arrested on suspicion of petty theft.

9:59 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported finding a stolen item on Craigslist.

11:05 a.m. — A man from the 23000 block of Fagerlie Road reported a person stealing his property, who was in one of his vehicles. It was a misunderstanding.

11:23 a.m. — A caller from the 22000 block of Sunset Ridge Road reported a man shooting in an unsafe manner at a tree.

11:43 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Kearney Court reported four dogs tearing up property.

3:42 p.m. — A caller from the fairgrounds reported the theft of a computer and camera.

4:53 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 11000 block of Combie Road reported vandalism.

6:52 p.m. — A caller from Banner Lava Cap and Banner Mountain Lookout roads reported a drunken man holding a beer on the side of the road. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

1:40 a.m. — A man from the 15000 block of Harmony Estates Road reported the theft of his wallet.

7:37 a.m. — A caller from Nevada Union High School reported the theft of an iPhone.

2:17 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of Broad Street reported a man was trying to fight him.
