Police Blotter: Gasoline theft and break-ins

Wednesday

8:23 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Park Avenue reported a juvenile who is under the influence of and in possession of a controlled substance.

9:20 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Church Street reported a red, older two-door Ford truck with a camper shell and no plate parked behind the building that the caller believes may have been the same vehicle driving around trying to get children into their vehicle.

2:50 p.m. — A caller from Glenwood Road and Nevada City Highway requested extra patrol in the area for ongoing illegal activity.

6:32 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Glenwood Road reported a man refusing to leave the property who appears to have been under the influence of a controlled substance.

7:02 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a broken window at the rental property within the last 15 minutes, who they believe is one of the tenants.

8:27 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported her neighbor is attempting malicious mischief to her apartment and is jumping up and down, causing light fixtures to break.

Thursday

5:43 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Park Street reported hearing subjects walking on her deck and her motion lights keep going on.

Wednesday

8:55 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Fair Oaks Drive reported she received a call from a DEA agent saying she had to pay $3,500 in court in L.A.

9:59 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported a reckless driver in a black Nissan Frontier.

10:42 a.m. — A caller from the 22000 block of Kingston Lane reported a request for extra patrol at Cottage Hill School at dismissal times due to ongoing suspicious circumstances. The caller would like to see a marked unit on campus during the dismissal of students at Cottage Hill and Magnolia schools.

10:53 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Norambagua Lane reported theft overnight of five gallons of gas from his car via a siphon and broken beer bottles in his driveway.

1:16 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Clover Valley Road reported a juvenile was visiting a friend of the family and was picked up by a subject who works for the Northern California Family Center, and the juvenile was taken to Contra Costa County and placed in a foster home there without authorization.

1:49 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Birchville Road reported someone has been tampering with a cluster of mailboxes near a residence.

3:17 p.m. — A caller from Nevada City Highway and Banner Lava Cap Road reported a transient panhandling and stepping into the roadway at the intersection by the overpass.

4:24 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Tyler Foote Crossing Road reported a suspicious man in the area who came walking out of the woods with a gas can in his hands and is possibly attempting to gain entry into a locked vehicle. He has black hair, is slim, with a mustache and green shirt and beige pants.

6:42 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Westhome Road reported trespassing by a 40- to 50-year-old man in a silver station wagon, with a mop bucket in back.

7:35 p.m. — A caller from Bar Hill Road and Penn Valley Drive reported someone threw something at her vehicle while she was driving by.

9:16 p.m. — A caller from Ball Road and Ragan Way reported two juveniles on foot who appear to be casing residences in the area. They are both wearing black and white ball caps, dark coats and dark pants.

10:31 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of North Ponderosa Way reported coming home about an hour ago and finding her door open with lights on.
