Police blotter: 'Impromptu' art show draws complaint


Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

8:09 a.m. — A caller from Gates Place and Nevada City Highway reported finding two air bag sensors and other new vehicle parts.

8:49 a.m. — A caller from Olympia Park Road and Sutton Way reported an impromptu art show that could result in traffic problems.

10:28 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported finding drug paraphernalia on an employee.

11 a.m. — A woman from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported accidentally locking her infant in a vehicle.

12:37 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a shoplifter in custody.

9:06 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Main Street reported a transient sleeping under the stairs. He could not be located. At 9:40 p.m., a man was contacted and advised to leave.

10:39 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Empire Street reported a man sleeping partially in the road.

Tuesday

8:32 a.m. — A caller from the fire department reported a fire in the 10000 block of Peardon Road involving a vehicle. The owner reported not knowing how the vehicle got there; it might have been stolen.

9:10 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Bitney Springs Road reported vandalism at a school.

9:56 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Highway 174 reported identity theft.

10:17 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Kenwood Drive reported blood on the road and a driveway. There had been an injured dog in the vicinity the day before.

10:50 a.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of Torrey Pines Drive reported her dog was attacked by another dog.

11:18 am. — A woman from the 13000 block of Highway 49 reported a person threatened and chased her son.

11:32 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Norambuaga Lane reported a dispute with a street cleaner.

11:49 a.m. — A caller from Gracie and Banner Lava Cap roads reported a man lurking on the trail. He could not be located.

12:46 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of John Born Road reported a deer with fencing stuck in its antlers.

12:58 p.m. — A man from the 14000 block of Anchor Lane reported his Papillon was attacked by a German shepherd.

6:50 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Crestview Drive reported the theft of equipment from trailers.

10:06 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Weber Street reported a woman broke a front door.

Tuesday

8:55 a.m. — A caller from Zion Street reported a pit bull tried to attack a woman; it could not be located.
