Police blotter: Fun with traffic cones


Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

7:23 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South School Street reported two men on bicycles took the caller’s newspaper.

12:51 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Olympia Park Road reported a transient camp.

3:27 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Catherine Lane reported a man urinated in the entry of a building.

5:41 p.m. — A caller from Brunswick Road and Sutton Way reported a vehicle with tons of marijuana in the back seat; it could not be located.

7:54 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of East Main Street reported a man refusing to leave who locked himself in a bathroom. He was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

7:57 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Rockwood Drive reported someone might have been outside the residence at night, moving belongings.

8:30 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Buena Vista Street reported drug activity.

9:57 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported juveniles were placing traffic cones in the road and watching vehicles drive over them or try to avoid them. Nothing was located. At 10:38 p.m., a caller reported several traffic cones in the road.

Monday

5:38 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South School Street reported a woman with a dog sleeping on a front porch and refusing to leave. She was gone when officers arrived.

9:43 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Carriage Road reported a neighbor pulled a gun during a dispute several days ago.

10:04 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Highway 49 reported gas had been siphoned from a boat.

10:29 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Foxtail Drive reported a residential burglary.

10:32 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Banner Lava Cap Road reported vandalism to a driveway sign.

12:16 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Torrey Pines Drive reported a possibly rabid and injured squirrel, which was gone when deputies arrived.

12:18 p.m. — A woman from the 16000 block of Cooper Road reported a person punched her in the stomach, threatened to kill her, and vandalized her vehicle and computer.

12:23 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Rough and Ready Highway reported road rage.

1:14 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Lime Kiln Road reported a residential burglary.

2:28 p.m. — A caller reported a large marijuana grow on Pioneer Way.

6:24 p.m. — A caller from American Hill Road reported possible squatters partying and camping. No one was located.

6:25 p.m. — A caller from Banner Mountain lookout reported vandalism to the tower.

Sunday

9:35 a.m. — A caller from South Pine Street reported a person broke in through a window and was refusing to leave, then left.

1:28 p.m. — A caller from Nevada City Highway reported a theft.

1:44 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of North Pine Street reported an 8-year-old boy was being beaten by his parents. A report was taken.
