{olice blotter: Bomb threats were just a prank


Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

8:06 a.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported tampering with a vehicle.

8:31 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Leahy Road reported being a victim of telephone fraud, with the loss of $1,400.

9:17 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Glenwood Road reported the theft of $6,700 from a dresser drawer.

9:58 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Rockwood Drive reported a burglary to a vehicle.

9:59 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Berryhill Drive reported a vehicle burglary.

10:18 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Stennett Street reported the theft of a mountain bike.

2 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Mill Street reported two men broke a back door and ran into a building.

2:20 p.m. — A man from Bank and Mill streets reported a person tailgating and stalking him.

3:17 p.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported 10 drunken people, who agreed to move on.

3:27 p.m. — A caller from Sierra College reported a physical fight.

4:11 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Springhill Drive reported a burglary to a storage unit.

6:34 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported a man and woman broke into a vehicle, took items and fled. A juvenile was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and a protective warrant; a man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed knife and outstanding warrants.

8:08 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported receiving bomb threats; they were found to be prank calls.

1:57 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a woman was being beaten by her boyfriend.

8:03 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Christian Life Way reported two young children hitchhiking. They were recognized as runaways from Milhous and were returned.

9:39 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Kenwood Drive reported identity theft.

9:42 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported a person tore up a medical marijuana recommendation.

9:44 a.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Knolls Drive reported ongoing raccoon issues.

10:40 a.m. — A man from Grand Oaks Place reported a woman assaulted him and wouldn’t let him leave.

12:07 p.m. — A caller from Chinaberry Court reported a loose bull.

1:07 p.m. — A caller from Squirrel Creek Road and Gold Drive reported a homeless camp.

1:27 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Norvin Way reported possible animal abuse.

1:44 p.m. — A caller from Armstrong and Combie roads reported a brush fire.

4:54 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported a transient camp.

6:26 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Combie Road reported a woman stole baby formula from a store.

7:57 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Dalewood Way reported a medical alert scam.

8:05 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Peaceful Meadow Lane reported the theft of a vehicle.

9:46 p.m. — A caller from Quaker Hill Cross and Red Dog roads reported a woman screaming from a vehicle.

10:16 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Peardale Road reported dogs barking for several days.

10:31 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Honeydew Lane reported a man had been smoking marijuana and took a swing at the caller when he was asked to leave. He called back to report a woman was fighting with her mother.

5:32 a.m. — A caller from Wolf Mountain reported possible vandals at the tower.

5:53 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Streeter Road reported a man on private property who then went over a fence.
