Police blotter: Goat-killing dog, pot-smoking Cadillac owner

Wednesday

8:33 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of Mill Street reported vandalism to a vehicle.

8:49 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported a man stealing bikes and putting them in a van.

10:29 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Church Street reported identity theft.

10:35 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a shoplifter who had pepper spray. She was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary.

10:36 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported someone had called in fraudulent prescriptions six times in the last nine months.

1:55 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of West Main Street reported graffiti.

2:42 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Florence Street reported the theft of signs from a business.

2:51 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported people selling meth.

3:37 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported the possible theft of money from a bank account.

4:55 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man with a large knife trying to cut wires. He was moving on.

8:10 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sierra College Drive reported a woman stole a drink from a business. No charges were desired.

8:53 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 900 block of Sutton Way reported a transient comes in and drinks their coffee all the time. No charges were desired, and he was advised not to return.

8:54 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man stole a bottle of Jim Beam. He was cited on suspicion of shoplifting.

Thursday

12:16 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported someone was trying to get in her residence. No one was located.

11:45 a.m. — A man from Lark Street reported a residential burglary.

12:20 p.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Scenic Drive reported dogs killed his goats.

12:25 p.m. — A caller from Pleasant Valley Road near the Lake Wildwood entrance reported a vehicle on fire.

2:33 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of McCourtney Road reported an abandoned horse that had been there for two months.

2:46 p.m. — A caller from Gateway Park reported a Dodge Durango with the back full of marijuana; it could not be located.

3:40 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Applewood Lane reported a residential burglary.

4:27 p.m. — A man from Lowell Hill Road reported vandalism with damage to his property, trees and excavator.

6:35 p.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of La Barr Meadows Road reported being assaulted by her boyfriend. She did not need medical attention. A be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued. He was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse and violating post-release community supervision.

6:50 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Banner Quaker Hill Road reported a burglary to a vehicle.

7:36 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Abbott Hill Drive reported a burglary with silver and diamonds taken.

8:14 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Street reported a man smoking marijuana in a white Cadillac. He was gone when deputies arrived.

8:23 p.m. — A caller from McKittrick Ranch and Jones Bar roads reported a vehicle accident with the vehicle going end over end off the side of a hill. No injuries were reported.

5:45 p.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported a drunken person causing a disturbance. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating probation.
