Police blotter: Man followed by people being shady

Thursday

12:14 p.m. — A man from the 300 block of Columbia Avenue reported someone tried to break into his vehicle last night.

1:46 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Olympia Park Road reported a man rubbing cigarette ash on his face. He was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and refusing to leave private property.

2:24 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported a stolen computer.

2:27 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man outside with a large knife; he could not be located.

4:59 p.m. — A caller form the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a shoplifter in custody, who was cited.

5:13 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Ventana Ridge reported a fraud.

6:10 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported a man waving a knife around. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia.

8:09 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported a person punched a vehicle and caused damage.

9:43 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Berryhill Drive reported people smoking drugs; a citation was issued.

11:08 p.m. — A caller from West Empire Street and Ocean Avenue reported the theft of a gas can full of gas last night; a suspect was seen tonight.

Friday

12:27 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of North Church Street reported underage drinking and people being loud. Some vehicles seemed to have been TP-ed. A second call was made at 1:18 a.m. for a loud party.

5:19 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man smoking drugs and carrying a knife. He agreed to move on.

8:05 a.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Helling Way reported finding drug paraphernalia.

8:23 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Hidden Springs Drive reported a burglary to a residence and a vehicle.

8:35 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Charles Drive reported possible fraud and identity theft.

8:42 a.m. — A woman from the 13000 block of China Close reported a man slashed her tires.

9:26 a.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Old Washington Road reported someone camping on private property.

11:53 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 13000 block of Loma Rica Drive reported vandalism to a front door.

12:11 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Grinding Rock Drive reported items had been stolen from a vehicle.

1:30 p.m. — A caller reported getting a scam text asking for money.

1:39 p.m. — A caller from Cascade Drive and cascade Loop reported a man in a van approached a girl a few weeks ago, said he liked her hair and asked suspicious questions.

2:15 p.m. — A caller reported a drug house on Sweetwater Road.

4:06 p.m. — A man from the 15000 block of Woodland Loop reported a scam phone call.

4:59 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Mooney Flat Road reported a trespasser refusing to leave, and a fence that was knocked down. No charges were desired.

5:29 p.m. — A caller from Hirschman’s Pond reported three men smoking and drinking from open containers.

5:44 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Wolf Road reported shooting from a very loud, high-powered firearm.

7 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Brooks Road reported a residential burglary, with someone smashing a window and stealing an air compressor and welder.

8:26 p.m. — A caller from Ready Springs School reported a man on school property drinking alcohol; he could not be located.

Friday

1:03 a.m. — A man from Rudd Road reported he was being followed after leaving a group of people who were being shady. He could not be located.

2:12 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Highway 174 reported a prowler rattling windows.

2:44 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Burjer Road reported a man banging on a door and making threats. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
