Police blotter: Sleeping bats, mooing cows cause for concern

Tuesday

9:27 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported transients sleeping on a roof and leaving items behind.

9:36 a.m. — A caller from the 1700 block of East Main Street reported a transient sleeping under a deck who leaves behind burn matches and other items.

10:42 a.m. — A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported people smoking pot behind a business.

11:42 a.m. — A man from the 100 block of Springhill Drive reported a man threatened him and tried to punch him before leaving on foot; the man was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats.

11:58 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported the theft of deposits by an ex-employee.

12:19 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of East Main Street reported a man passed out on the sidewalk, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

12:48 p.m. — A woman from the 400 block of Butler Street reported a person stole her fanny pack with her wallet, Vicodin, reading glasses, jewelry and $20.

5:21 p.m. — A caller from South Auburn and Mohawk streets reported a man intentionally exposing himself. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and resisting arrest.

5:31 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Berryhill Drive reported three stolen scooters.

7:54 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported an assault.

9:10 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man eating out of a bin in a store; he was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and trespassing.

11:47 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man yelling at customers, who was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

Wednesday

1:42 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Main Street reported noise from power tools; the workers were taking their saws indoors.

9:09 a.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Three Sevens Place reported an altercation with his 14-year-old daughter; a person was cited on unknown charges.

9:14 a.m. — A woman from the 17000 block of Tory Court reported a bat sleeping on a beam in her house.

9:56 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Feather Way reported a tractor fully engulfed in flames.

10:39 a.m. — A caller from Apache Court reported mooing cows.

11:09 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Burjer Road reported a residential burglary.

11:43 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Alexandra Way reported he was not involved in drug activity, as reported by his neighbor.

12:34 p.m. — A caller from Manzanita Diggins Drive reported people camping.

6:34 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Boulder Street reported he was mad because his roommate was using the toilet and he needed to use it.

7:33 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Myrna Drive reported a possible rabid skunk under a car.

7:34 p.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and Wild Duck Lane reported a woman hit a deer, which was on the side of the road. A man on the scene was trying to dispatch the deer, but had fired five or six times and might be a danger to passersby. No one was located.

8:33 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Welsh Lane reported a woman screaming and running down the road, with possible gunshots heard. It might have been an accident with a vehicle hitting a tree. A report was taken.
