Police blotter: Body bags and stolen golf carts


Grass Valley Police Department

Thursday

7:35 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Manor Drive reported a vehicle had been stolen and in a chop shop.

8:28 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported a woman shooting up drugs. She could not be located.

11:51 a.m. — A man from the 500 block of West Main Street reported someone broke into his vehicle and broke the tailgate handle.

12:50 p.m. — A caller from Sutton Way and Dorsey Drive reported a woman asleep in a sleeping bag on the side of the road.

1:45 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of West Main Street reported a young woman asleep on the sidewalk; she was cited on unknown charges and released to her parents.

2:07 p.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported a man on a motorcycle tearing it up and acting strange.

2:41 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Main Street reported a man walked into a store with a partially concealed handgun.

2:44 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported an air and water machine at a gas station had been broken into and damaged.

3:42 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported the back window had been broken out of a vehicle.

5:34 p.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of East Main Street reported seeing a person throw a dog out of a vehicle.

6:15 p.m. — A woman from Park Avenue reported her son would not give her back her cell phone. She called back on several occasions, then was taken to the hospital for alcohol intoxication. Her son said he took the phone to prevent her from calling random people.

7:12 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported juveniles smoking marijuana.

7:31 p.m. — A caller from Railroad Avenue and Idaho-Maryland Road reported finding a syringe.

8:11 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Park Avenue reported a body possibly being carried from a residence in a body bag.

8:21 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of West Main Street reported a residence had been broken into again and had missing fixtures.

9:05 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Columbia Avenue reported two or three boys who seemed to be scoping houses; they could not be located.

10:03 p.m. — A caller from Butler and Minnie streets reported a motorcycle racing in and out of the park.

Friday

1:34 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported a physical fight.

2:58 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a person sleeping in front of the Sleep Shop. The person was moving on.

Thursday

8:26 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Somerset Drive reported a very drunken man left in a vehicle.

11:14 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Dog Bar Road reported a burglary to a bank-owned property.

12:49 p.m. — A caller from Valley Vista Way reported marijuana cultivation.

1:22 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Flying T Road reported identity theft.

2:28 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Carriage Road reported a vegetation fire.

3:41 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported numerous people yelling back and forth, who then left. The caller then reported they had moved and a person had a stick in his hand. A man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

3:54 p.m. — A man from the 15000 block of Red Dog Road reported a residence had been burglarized.

3:58 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Alta Street reported he had been assaulted, but did not need medical attention.

5:06 p.m. — A caller reported a juvenile had been assaulted that morning at Magnolia School.

8:04 p.m. — A caller from La Noria Court reported a fence had been cut and a neighbor’s golf cart apparently had been stolen. The cart was partially through the fence opening with multiple tools on the seats. Two men were seen leaving the scene in a vehicle.

9:36 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Greenhorn Road reported a man took money and would not give it back.

Friday

7:39 a.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Lakeshore North reported his dogs were attacked this morning.
