Police blotter: Man propositioned for sex


Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

8:11 a.m. — A caller from Freeman Lane reported a woman illegally dumped trash bags into the bushes. No bags were located.

8:47 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a person sleeping in a residence that was supposed to be vacant. No one was found inside.

11 a.m. — A woman from East Main Street and Idaho-Maryland Road reported a truck tried to hit her while she was on her bicycle.

12:46 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 600 block of Sutton Way reported two men in a store who had tried to steal a laptop last week.

1:15 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported vandalism.

1:18 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a theft.

1:20 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Marshall Street reported the theft of a PC, camera and jewelry.

1:22 p.m. — A caller from Dorsey Drive and East Main Street reported a bus shelter had been tagged with graffiti.

1:24 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported a theft.

2:33 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Taylorville Road reported a possible shoplifter.

5:04 p.m. — A person was cited on suspicion of having an open container in the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway.

5:17 p.m. — A man from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported a woman propositioned him for sexual activity. She was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

5:18 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Buena Vista Street reported a lot of foot and vehicle traffic associated with a residence. A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and violating probation.

5:29 p.m. — A caller from Ridge Road and Sierra College Drive reported hearing gunshots for the past two hours.

609 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported a man and woman were following 10-year-old and 12-year-old boys. The woman told the older boy she wanted a hug and then humped his leg.

7:27 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported an assault, but was gone when officers arrived.

8:20 p.m. — A caller from Minnie Street reported an assault and the theft of a cell phone.

1:50 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a physical fight involving two or three men.

8:36 a.m. — A caller from the 20000 block of New Rome Road reported severe hair damage to a dog.

8:44 a.m. — A caller from Jackass Flats reported two people with dogs and a trailer who were not supposed to be there and who have left trash all over.

10:27 a.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Highway 49 reported vandalism and theft by two clients.

11:19 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Bixler Placer reported a dog killed a sheep. They both belonged to her.

1:38 p.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Big Blue Road reported a dispute with a person pushing him.

3:18 p.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Crawford Lane reported the theft of a wooden fence from a yard. It was a civil issue.

3:29 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Sisson Road reported the theft of meat from a freezer.

3:46 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Gautier Drive reported an out of control burn pile.

6:34 p.m. — A man from Bonaventure Road reported finding a letter on his gate with suspicious references to buying drugs.

8:49 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Francis Drive reported a physical fight; the parties had separated.

11:46 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported a possible assault victim from the 400 block of Main Street.

Thursday

4:09 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a suspicious man asked for money.
