Police blotter: Boyfriend tied up under bed


Grass Valley Police Department

Saturday

11:31 a.m. — A woman from the 600 block of Whiting Street reported her neighbor was calling every hour, saying she had her boyfriend tied up under the bed and that she was stealing her maxi pads.

12:37 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of East Main Street reported an assault; a man was arrested on suspicion of battery.

4:33 p.m. — A caller from Colfax and Biggs avenues reported a boy was hit in the face but did not need medical attention.

5:35 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported the theft of a watch from an open vehicle by a man pretending to wash car windows. A woman got the watch back from the suspect; he could not be located.

6:37 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Plaza Drive reported that a man who continually comes in to use the bathroom is currently in the bathroom. He was advised again not to return.

6:59 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported an upstairs neighbor banging on the floor.

7:17 p.m. — A woman from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported a person hit her in the eye; she could not be located.

8:09 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glasson Way reported a fare was driven to the hospital and did not come back out to pay.

8:16 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a transient camping in the area, who agreed to move on.

8:35 p.m. — A man from Colfax and Biggs avenues reported a person threw something at his vehicle. The suspect admitted to throwing a cell phone in defense of almost being hit and was admonished.

8:39 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported four boys with alcohol; they could not be located.

9:12 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Mill Street reported three men possibly smoking marijuana.

10:56 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Minnie Street reported a physical fight between a man and a woman. They could not be located.

11:49 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of Second Street reported a sewage leak, which was being handled by Environmental Health.

12:45 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of La Marque Court reported a very aggressive pit bull, which could not be located.

2:40 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a group of people want to hurt him. A man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and violating post-release community supervision.

7:40 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of North Church Street reported a drunken man tackled and tried to strangle the caller because the caller dumped out his alcohol. A man was arrested on suspicion of vandalism.

10 p.m. — A caller from Bennett and Ophir streets reported hearing a man and woman screaming; a second call was made at 10:09 p.m., reporting that a woman was heard saying she had been beaten and her head was bleeding. No one was located.

12:59 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported someone was dropping glass bottles down the stairwell; no one was located.

1:44 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Whiting Street reported screeching tires and yelling; they were gone when officers arrived.

1:45 a.m. — A caller from Old Tunnel and Brunswick roads reported hearing a woman screaming. A person was arrested on unknown charges.

4:14 a.m. — A caller from Dever Lane reported a prowler; no one was located.

9:28 a.m. — A caller from Wolf Road and Saddleback Lane reported passersby were trying to corral a loose cow; it was put back in the pasture.

10:19 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Hicks Road reported identity theft.

11:06 a.m. — A caller from the 22000 block of West Hacienda Drive reported possible trespassers at a vacant residence; no one was located.

3:06 p.m. — A caller from Spenceville Road reported six juveniles on a go-cart, who were not wearing helmets. They were taking the cart home.

3:21 p.m. — A man from Vintage Drive was reported to have fallen off a 15-foot ladder.

4:29 p.m. — A caller from Comerate Road reported a juvenile assaulted staff; the juvenile was cited.

8:14 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road reported the theft of a pressure washer from a secured trailer.

8:54 p.m. — A woman from the 13000 block of Combie Road reported a man with a knife trespassing on her property. Her husband had taken the blade away, and the man was saying he was not a violent person. No charges were desired, and the man was given a ride.

10:29 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported a man cursing and yelling. He said he was upset and agreed breaking items in his residence would not help and was too expensive.

Monday

12:04 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Brookside Way reported a phone was being tapped.

5:50 a.m. — A caller from Boulder Street reported a man ran across the street and seemed to be hiding in the bushes. He could not be located.

6:03 a.m. — A caller from Lower Circle Drive reported two men and a woman, all in black, standing around. They were found to be exercising.

12:39 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported loud music.

4:47 p.m. — A caller from Pioneer Park reported 20-plus people smoking drugs and drinking boxed wine, playing kickball.
