Police blotter: Cows in distress, odd men in Civil War attire

Tuesday

10:37 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported the theft of Fancy Feast cat food, bananas and pears after she went grocery shopping.

11:42 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of South Auburn Street reported a dispute with unruly customers, who left before officers arrived.

12:11 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Berryhill Street reported an attempted theft of a truck.

1:07 p.m. — A boy from the 200 block of Arcadia Drive reported his mother assaulted him with a broom, but he did not need medical attention. He was returned to school.

1:21 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported the theft of housekeys.

1:30 p.m. — A caller from an antique store in the 100 block of Mill Street reported a man acting odd, dressed in Civil War clothes.

1:42 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Church Street reported the theft of keys.

5:16 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Freeman Lane reported transients setting up camps and cutting down trees. They were given 24 hours to vacate the area.

6:54 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of East Main Street reported a man threatening employees, who slammed a door into an employee.

11:47 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported an assault victim.

Wednesday

12:35 a.m. — A caller from Biggs and Colfax avenues reported hearing a gunshot. Nothing was located.

Tuesday

9:19 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Hidden Valley Road reported a neighbor and surveyor trespassing.

10:21 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a man in a truck possibly engaged in drug activity. He was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

10:28 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Terrace Oaks Lane reported a cow mooing in distress for three days.

1:37 p.m. — A woman from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road reported a dispute over being allowed to remove her plants from a residence. She said someone pushed and shoved her.

2:50 p.m. — A caller from Ridge Road and Rough and Ready Highway reported a new transient encampment.

5:54 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Whittlesey Lane reported dogs bit a trainer.

6:52 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Torrey Pines Drive reported hearing an explosion or gunshot from the DarkHorse area.

8:50 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Holly Davo Place reported the theft of a chainsaw; it was a civil issue and the chainsaw was returned.

9:57 p.m. — A woman from the 23000 block of Highway 49 reported a residential burglary; no forced entry was found.

10:37 p.m. — A woman from the 17000 block of Alexandra Way reported her boyfriend has been poisoning her; a report was taken.
