Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

7:16 a.m. — A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported a person stole whiskey and three packs of cigarettes and fled on foot.

10:41 a.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported having a shoplifter in custody; a man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.

12:34 p.m. — A caller from East Main and Eureka streets reported downed power lines.

12:36 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Empire Street reported a tree fell on a house.

1:27 p.m. — A caller from Alta and Ivy streets reported a very drunken man possibly asleep under a bush; no one was located.

3:01 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Morgan Ranch Drive reported a group of boys throwing snowballs at windows. They could not be located.

4:13 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Crown Point Circle reported someone using a fraudulent credit card.

8:12 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported a man passed out under a stack of laundry; he was moving on.

Wednesday

5:38 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a woman repetitively screaming in her apartment. She was advised to quiet down.

Tuesday

11:03 a.m. — A man from the 19000 block of Jayhawk Drive reported his 96-year-old mother was scammed by two men who told her she needed to have her house painted and charged her $14,000.

11:06 a.m. — A caller from Lost Lake Road reported the theft of prescription medications.

1:28 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Christian Life Way reported a woman in a physical fight with a tow truck driver.

3:09 p.m. — A caller from Greenbrook Loop reported a boy punched a hole in a bedroom door, pushed the caller and ran away.

4:47 p.m. — A man from New Rome Road reported finding a note from his roommate stuck in his door with a knife that said “If you ever talk to me again, I will kill you.”

5 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Shelter Court reported a physical fight; the parties did not want to make a report.

5:41 p.m. — A woman from the 15000 block of Washington Road reported her house was broken into.

6:05 p.m. — A caller from River Ranch Road reported seven or eight gunshots.

8:35 p.m. — A man from the 15000 block of Wet Hill Road reported trespassing issues.

11:59 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Pine Street reported a man and woman who appeared to have been in a physical altercation.
