PoundPuppyRescue does good work

I loved The Union’s article on Feb. 1 about our local animal nonprofits. I was saddened that not more was mentioned about PoundPuppyRescue (PPR). They are small, their impact is massive. PoundPuppyRescue started in Nevada City in 2001, after the founder saw litters of puppies being euthanized due to overcrowding. PPR’s goal is to rescue puppies from shelters and find them their forever homes. It is run solely by volunteers. There is also an active chapter in the Bay Area. PPR rescued over 200 puppies in 2012 and spayed or neutered over 50 dogs. The puppies are sent to their …
