Everyone benefits when people learn to live well with brain disorders. The National Alliance On Mental Illness (NAMI) is offering a free class to anyone with mental illness, including depression, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Panic Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dual Diagnosis and PTSD. The course, Peer-to-Peer, will cover relapse prevention, medication, addiction, how to strengthen interpersonal relationships, coping skills, stigma, problem solving and more. It has been shown that psycho-education is a significant factor in the number of symptom recurrences. Peer-to-Peer offers a holistic approach using a combination of lecture, discussion, interactive exercises, and stress-management techniques. …
