Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

10:50 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 200 block of Sierra College Drive reported a counterfeit $20 bill.

12:31 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Cypress Hill Drive reported a bottle had been thrown at her window last night.

12:40 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of West Main Street reported a possible shoplifter.

1:01 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of North Church Street reported the theft of gold jewelry from a residence.

1:06 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported two men and a woman in a physical fight with no injuries reported.

1:13 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Second Street reported possible vandalism to a cemetery.

1:24 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sierra College Drive reported vandalism to signs.

1:36 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of La Marque Court reported a vehicle had been rifled through.

2:32 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Alta Street reported the theft of items from an unlocked vehicle.

3:13 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Jenkins Street reported the theft of a checkbook, with eight checks written at Safeway.

3:40 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Brighton Street reported listing an item for sale on Craigslist and getting a fraudulent check for two times the asking price.

8:43 p.m. — A woman reported that gas was siphoned from her vehicle in the 100 block of West McKnight Way.

9:55 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of East Berryhill Drive wanted an officer to make her husband give her the remote control. She was heavily medicated.

10:04 p.m. — A man from the 200 block of Bank Street reported a person took his phone from him and bruised and scratched him. A woman was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse and damaging a phone.

Tuesday

9:16 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of McCourtney Road reported the theft of items from a vehicle.

9:55 a.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Austin Forest Drive reported vandalism to a vehicle.

10:27 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Newtown Road reported identity theft.

12:42 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Spenceville Road reported a residential burglary.

1:49 p.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Hidden Valley Road reported people possibly living in a trailer on a vacant property. One man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia, a second man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and being under the influence of a controlled substance, and a woman was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia and violating probation.

2:48 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Hansen Lane reported a possible phone scam.

2:53 p.m. — A caller from Nevada Union High School reported multiple juveniles being detained on a bus for smoking marijuana. It was being handled by school administration.

3:14 p.m. — A man from the 18000 block of Highway 20 reported the theft of a generator.

8:14 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Smith Road reported three gunshots.

Tuesday

12:05 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Sacramento Street reported a theft.

3:29 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Orchard Street reported a theft.

6:25 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported a physical fight with a half-dozen people involved. They were gone when officers arrived.

9:39 p.m. — A caller from Commercial and North Pine streets reported three men drinking beer on the boardwalk; they could not be located.
