Police blotter: Jan. 30, 2013


Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

7:10 a.m. — A man from the 1200 block of East Main Street reported seeing a man lying on the floor of his business through a video surveillance system. He could not be located.

9:02 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported a possible stolen bike, and a found syringe.

9:10 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported the theft of fuel from a company truck.

10:42 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported two juveniles apparently engaged in sexual activity at a cell tower. Their parents were advised.

1:22 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Sierra College Drive reported a woman in detox left a facility, last seen wearing snowman pajamas. She could not be located.

2:38 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of West Berryhill Drive reported the theft of cash and a cell phone.

3:11 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Eureka Street reported the theft of items from her purse yesterday.

3:21 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of West Main Street reported the theft of a cell phone and possibly other items. She said she had been solicited for sex acts.

3:44 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1100 block of Sutton Way reported a woman with a great Dane and a smaller dog was refusing to leave a store.

5:45 p.m. — A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man had been in and around a business all day and helping himself to the soda fountain. He was gone when officers arrived.

7:22 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported a juvenile had been abandoned by her family. A report was taken.

8:05 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported a man who had been in the bathroom for more than 45 minutes and was not responding to knocking on the door. He was moving on.

8:21 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a juvenile was driving recklessly in the parking lot after stealing alcohol.

8:31 p.m. — A possible prowler was investigated in the 400 block of East Main Street.

Tuesday

12:15 a.m. — A woman from the 100 block of West Main Street reported a person threw three bullets at her.

12:32 a.m. — A caller from Taylorville Road and Freeman Lane reported a woman in a restroom refusing to come out, and a man refusing to leave the business. He eventually left and she arranged for a ride home.

5:37 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of La Marque Court reported a person had gone through several vehicles in the area.

Monday

9:41 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported someone dumped a large amount of human waste into a Dumpster.

9:42 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Red Dog Road reported possible campers at the cemetery. They were moving on. A second call was made at 7:50 p.m., and people were asked to move on.

9:50 a.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Round Valley Road reported vandalism to shrubbery.

12:08 p.m. — A man from Paradise Lane reported a woman broke into his residence and broke several objects; she broke a window to gain entrance and might have cut herself. She had stayed the night before and had been asked to leave, and had threatened to file rape charges. She had left on foot, and could not be located.

4:52 p.m. — A woman from McBoyle Way reported finding a woman crying on the roadside the day before, and taking her to a hotel. She requested extra patrols for possible drug activity.

5:25 p.m. — A caller from West Brookview Drive reported fuel had been siphoned from a vehicle, and a cell phone taken from another vehicle.

5:42 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Little Greenhorn Road reported a break-in at a cabin.

9:16 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Highway 49 reported a possible phone scam.

Tuesday

1:11 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lake Wildwood Drive reported a man passed out in the back of a vehicle, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

Monday

12:32 p.m. — A caller from Commercial and Main streets reported a woman in a long black formal dress screaming “Please stop him, please stop him,” following a man up the street. They could not be located.

1:55 p.m. — A woman from Lindley Avenue and Sylvan Road reported finding her stolen vehicle; she did not want prosecution.
