Police blotter: Jan. 23, 2013


Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

11:29 a.m. — A woman fro the 800 block of Orchard Glen Way reported the theft of quarters from a locked vehicle, and finding other items that might have been stolen.

12:05 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a man playing the flute who might be on drugs.

1:36 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported two men and a woman hitting and abusing animals.

5:17 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Northstar Place reported a man freaked out and was throwing items in a residence.

5:19 p.m. — A caller from Dorsey and Pampas drives reported finding a purse with drugs and a bullet. It could not be located.

8:51 p.m. — A caller from a store in the 400 block of Brunswick Road reported two men had been caught stealing earlier and thrown out, and now were trying to enter the closed store. They were gone when officers arrived.

10:52 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of West Berryhill Drive was calling from a different address to report people had broken into her apartment with guns, while her husband and child were inside. She said she received a text from her husband saying that he would be dead. It was a false report.

Tuesday

4:34 a.m. — A woman sought treatment at the emergency room and said she had been stabbed at a bar, but she was not sure when or by whom.

5:02 a.m. — A woman from Dever Lane reported a man had been on her porch and now was in her garage.

Monday

8:02 a.m. — A woman from the 23000 block of Chestnut Court reported the theft of household items and electronics from a residence.

8:47 a.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Inverness Way reported someone put a flammable substance on his front yard last night, leaving a burn spot.

9:26 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Norlene Way reported damage to a foreclosed home with paintballs.

9:47 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Dog Bar Road had questions about catching and relocating geese that cause traffic issues.

11:18 a.m. — A woman from the 15000 block of Auburn Road reported her front porch and vehicles had been egged the previous night.

12:49 p.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Red Dog Road reported a man on private property causing a disturbance who had been dropped off at the wrong address by a taxi. He was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and brandishing a weapon.

4:29 p.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Cliffs Place reported a woman slapped her.

6:27 p.m. — A caller from Borrelli Road reported a person talking about aliens and killing people. A man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

8:36 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Penna Way reported a fight, with a man who took a woman’s clothing off; she was running in the residence naked. No crime was found to have occurred.

9:08 p.m. — A caller from Robin Street and Carrie Ann Lane reported about 25 people in and out of a house, carrying golf clubs and yelling. No one was located.

9:26 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Willow Valley Road reported a woman came to the door and said she had been drugged. She claimed to have been beaten and looked “crazed.” She was uncooperative.

10:32 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Highway 174 reported a man was out of control and tried to stab himself in the stomach; several people were restraining him. He was cited on unknown charges.

Tuesday

12:27 a.m. — A caller from Lodgepole and Silver Pine drives reported hearing a woman screaming; no one was located.

3:44 a.m. — A man from the 18000 block of Cozy Grove Court reported four or five people demanding entry to his house; he said he had armed himself with a shotgun. He said they were outside running around and pounding on the ground. The man’s wife said he might have had a dream.

6:08 a.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Allison Ranch Road reported he woke up to find a man attacking him. The man then ran out and he did not need medical attention. It was a landlord-tenant issue.

7:08 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Torrey Pines Drive reported a burglary to a locked vehicle.

Monday

11:55 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Grove Street reported the theft of a chain saw from an unlocked garage.

5:28 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Zion Street reported a person breaking items in a residence.

Tuesday

8:18 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of North Pine Street reported a theft.
