Police blotter: Jan, 15, 2013

Grass Valley Police Department


11:49 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Penstock Drive reported the theft of CDs from an unlocked vehicle.

12:21 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Blight Road reported two unlocked vehicles had been broken into and a cell phone taken.

3:19 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man chasing women with a knife. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and resisting arrest.

5:33 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Lidster Avenue reported someone went through her vehicle.

8:16 p.m. — A caller from Hennessy School reported two or three juveniles on the roof; they were cited on suspicion of being drunk in public and possessing alcohol and were released to their parents.

8:24 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Arcadia Drive reported possible physical abuse.

10:19 a.m. — A woman from the 21000 block of Sunnyside Lane reported the neighbor’s dogs are harassing her sheep.

10:19 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported an alleged theft.

11:49 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Spenceville Road reported a man on foot, possibly shooting off a high-caliber rifle. It was an animal control officer dispatching a deer.

1:04 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Chaparral Drive reported identity theft.

2:09 p.m. — A caller from Gold Hill Drive and Silver Way reported finding possible drug items; nothing was located.

6:24 p.m. — A man from Names Drive reported his daughter just assaulted his son and tried to hang up the phone while he was calling 911. She was in her room screaming, then disconnected the phone. The situation was mediated.

8:11 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Bartlett Drive reported a dispute that had been physical. It was mutual combat.

10:37 p.m. — A caller from Keenan Way reported a man breaking items in the house, who had been breaking bricks on his head all day and who possibly was under the influence of drugs.

The man said he was drunk and on numerous meds and said he could not see out of his left eye. He did not want to be handcuffed. He was transported to the emergency room and released to mental health.

2:47 p.m. — A caller from Park Avenue reported water 10-12 feet in the air from a leaking NID box.

4:45 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported a man with long hair and a guitar who was yelling and people causing a disturbance.

8:45 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported transient issues.
