The Nevada Union snowboard team went up to Boreal Mountain Resort Monday for the season opener and came back down with a fourth-place finish overall. The Miners were led by their girls squad, which took first place in the girls competition. Drew Bernadett led the Miners, taking third place individually with total time after two runs of 1 minute, 6.54 seconds.
