Friday

8:03 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of North Church Street reported the theft of Christmas lights.

11 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Church Street reported a person wrote multiple fraudulent checks to businesses.

1:14 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Dalton Street reported a burglary.

1:28 p.m. — A caller from the 1100 block of Sutton Way reported a shoplifter, but did not want to press charges.

2:43 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man opening boxes on pallets and taking items before leaving in a truck.

2:56 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a woman shoplifted items and dropped several.

3:21 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Maltman Drive reported the theft of a jacket with car keys.

4:46 p.m. — A caller from Richardson and North Auburn streets reported two men possibly casing vehicles, who could not be located.

9:05 a.m. — A man from the 200 block of West Main Street reported a man punched him in the face and he received treatment for an eye injury.

9:33 a.m. — A caller from the 1300 block of Whispering Pines Lane reported a workshop was broken into and tools taken.

10:43 a.m. — A caller from Memorial Lane and Colfax Avenue reported two men drinking and yelling; they were moving on.

11:48 a.m. — A caller from South Auburn and Bank streets reported an attempted assault by a man.

6:32 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of North Church Street reported drug activity.

8:11 p.m. — A man from the 200 block of Fiddick Lane reported a woman hit him in the face.

9:45 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of East Main Street reported a stolen Toyota Camry.

11:24 p.m. — A caller from Sutton Way and Brunswick Road reported possible illegal camping.

Sunday

3:14 a.m. — A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported a shirtless man urinated on himself, then drove away. He could not be located.

3:29 a.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Northstar Place reported her husband assaulted her; she sought treatment at the hospital.

8:24 a.m. — A caller from the 20000 block of Wolf Creek Road reported a squatter.

8:49 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Bitney Springs Road reported a burglary with entrance through a crawl space. The suspect attempted to steal metal, but nothing was taken.

9:41 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Ant Hill Road reported a burglary with 12 guns, several thousand dollars and collectible coins taken.

11:37 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Kenwood Drive reported a possible phone scam.

11:42 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a dispute and screaming. A woman was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia. A man was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia, as well as violating a restraining order and violating probation.

12:27 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Sontag Road reported the theft of a ring, which was located at a gold shop.

1:09 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Ridge Estates Road reported a structure fire.

1:11 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Little Deer Creek Lane reported a burglary.

1:59 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Wild Turkey Lane reported promiscuous shooting.

3:40 p.m. — A caller from Pleasant Valley Road reported a theft from an unlocked vehicle.

4:48 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Maidu Trail reported a theft in progress and a fight becoming physical; it was a civil issue.

7:26 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Elnora Place reported a burglary.

8:55 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Success Cross Road reported six to eight shots; another caller reported fireworks.

9:26 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Black Oak Drive reported a loud explosion; it was quiet when deputies arrived.

9:30 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Banner Lava Cap Road reported two gunshots; nothing was located.

9:48 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Sontag Road reported a physical fight; both parties had been drinking and the man left.

10:24 p.m. — A caller from Ridge Road and Rough and Ready Highway reported a vehicle ran a stop sign, then crashed.

11:21 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported a person setting off concussion charges.

1:16 a.m. — A caller from Mystic Mine and Bitney Springs roads reported a vehicle in a ditch. A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

10:47 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Alderwood Way reported the theft of a cell phone two weeks ago.

11:57 a.m. — A woman from the 22000 block of Purdon Way reported a man gave her a black eye; she did not want medical attention or a report.

12:06 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported an assault victim.

12:18 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Gibboney lane reported juveniles running through private property, shooting paintball or pellet guns; they agreed to stay off property.

7:34 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Paradise Lane reported gunshots; a second call was made at 9:50 p.m.

7:51 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Auburn Road reported shots fired; another caller reported fireworks. A person was cited.

Sunday

12:31 a.m. — A man from Highway 20 and Mooney Flat Road reported being grabbed by two men.

1:17 a.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Margaritaville Way reported hearing a woman yelling in a truck and a gunshot. A man was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse and shooting at a vehicle.

Nevada City Police Department

Friday

4:18 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Bost Avenue reported a woman stole $40,000 from a safe. Approximately $3,000 was allegedly located on the woman, as well as more than 1 ounce of meth and drug paraphernalia. Officers also allegedly intercepted a text message attempting to arrange a meth sale. The woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale and being in possession of stolen property, and was being held in lieu of $35,000 bail. Officers are searching for several other suspects.

Saturday

11:27 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Walrath Avenue reported the theft of a Jeep Cherokee; the keys had been left in the vehicle.

12:39 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported people had been sleeping on her property and scattering her trash.

2:09 p.m. — A caller from Commercial and North Pine streets reported pot being smoked on the boardwalk.

7:05 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Main Street reported a horn honking on and off for two days; the horn was disabled.

8:19 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Nevada Street reported a dispute; a person was cited on unknown charges.
