The Bell Hill Academy students, staff and parents gathered recently for the culminating student performances (taught by local musicians) as part of their Global Studies lessons. No sooner had the program begun than a major power outage in the Grass Valley area left the venue in total darkness. Staff, students and parents remained calm, and the program continued, lit by lanterns, flashlights and the light from family members’ cell phones!
