Police Blotter: Gun cleaner shoots self, neighbors pet cat without permission

Tuesday

6:32 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Kate Hayes Street reported hearing a woman scream, then start crying; two men were following her. She could not be located.

7:29 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mainhart Drive reported hearing a gunshot. Nothing suspicious was located.

9:57 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Crown Point Circle requested extra patrols for trespassers.

10:14 a.m. — A caller from Butler and Minnie streets reported a man with an open container, yelling strange things. He was advised to stay inside.

10:41 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South School Street reported the theft of a tent and tarp.

11:06 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Church Street reported finding drugs.

11:40 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Walsh Street reported possible trespassing issues.

12:57 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a burglary to a vehicle and to property.

1:03 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Church Street reported finding drugs on campus.

2:22 p.m. — A caller from the 2300 block of Nevada City Highway reported a loose dog with 40 feet of rope tied to it in the parking lot.

5:09 p.m. — A caller from Olympia Park Road and Sutton Way reported a man defecating in the middle of the road; he could not be located.

5:24 p.m. — A woman from the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported having been assaulted.

5:36 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Colfax Avenue reported two men in a physical fight before leaving on foot together. They had been drinking and were OK.

8:53 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Sutton Way reported the theft of a Honda Civic.

11:25 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported two men in a physical fight who left before officers arrived.

12:20 a.m. — A man from the 200 block of Arcadia Drive reported hearing his gate open and hearing something in the backyard. No one was located.

12:59 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Church Street reported two people trespassing.

1:29 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of South Auburn Street reported the theft of a laptop five days ago.

10:17 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Myrna Drive reported her neighbors were petting and feeding her cats without her permission.

10:39 a.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Logue Lane reported a woman pushed and shoved her husband; the parties were separated.

11:19 a.m. — A caller from the 27000 block of Highway 49 reported an assault.

12:01 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Alderwood Way reported the theft of medication from a residence.

12:47 p.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Francis Drive reported people were following him and trying to beat him up.

12:49 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Storms Lane reported an assault on Dec. 2.

1:56 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Walker Drive reported an assault.

2:10 p.m. — A man from the 18000 block of Piper Lane reported a neighbor slaughtered a pig and left the remains on his property.

2:44 p.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Snow Tent Road reported a residence had been broken into and weapons stolen.

3:07 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Connie Drive reported a man had been cleaning a gun and accidentally shot himself in the leg.

3:43 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Kiwi Road reported the theft of a off-road motorcycle.

4:41 p.m. — A caller from Rancho Nogotta Lane reported a juvenile was pounding on the door and trying to break in. The situation was mediated. At 7:08 p.m., a caller reported a by just pulled a gun on his father. It was a pellet gun; the juvenile was arrested on unknown charges.

5:18 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Rough and Ready Road reported multiple vehicles and people on a property that should be vacant. No one was located.

5:39 p.m. — A caller from Dixon and Squirrel Creek roads reported hearing two gunshots.

5:40 p.m. — A woman from Lake Wildwood Drive reported a man had been off his meds and punching her and her mother. He was taken to the hospital.

7:24 p.m. — A man from the 17000 block of Penny Court reported his girlfriend threw a Playstation at him, then left, possibly en route to a bar.

7:36 p.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported men firing off guns and yelling. He called back to say they were shooting fireworks and keeping his baby awake. It was quiet when deputies arrived.

8:20 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Sierra Drive reported a truck in a parking lot; he said there was an ongoing issue with people drinking, smoking marijuana and having intercourse.

11 p.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Highway 49 reported a juvenile assaulted a staff member; the juvenile was arrested on unknown charges.

Wednesday

6:49 a.m. — A caller from Peardale Road and Meadow View Drive reported a hot wire fell on top of a school bus with students inside. The wire was removed.

9:37 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Washington Street reported the theft of garbage cans.

2:18 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 200 block of Broad Street reported being defrauded.
