Grass Valley Police Department

Thursday

8:16 a.m. — A woman from the 600 block of Kate Hayes Street reported her locked vehicle had been broken into last night with nothing taken.

8:51 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported a man “huffing” from an aerosol container; no drugs were found.

10:07 a.m. — A man from Tinloy and Bank streets reported someone hit him in the back of the head. He was not injured.

11:27 a.m. — A caller from Bank and Bennett streets reported a man on a bicycle who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Another caller reported he had passed out. He was taken to the hospital and cited on unknown charges.

11:30 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of West Main Street reported the theft of a bracelet.

11:43 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of West Main Street reported the theft of her purse at a business.

2:15 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported people loitering and smoking drugs; they were moving on.

5:43 p.m. — A woman from the 700 block of Morgan Ranch Drive reported people might be breaking into her house.

6:29 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported a tree fell on a house.

7:59 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Ophir Street reported a woman outside her apartment, possibly armed with a knife, who is invisible because she’s from heaven. The woman was OK and said she just took her meds and knew she had been hallucinating. She called again at 10:06 p.m. and at 10:12 p.m., and was advised to take her meds.

8:44 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of East Main Street reported a woman trying to break into a vehicle, who left on foot after being confronted.

Friday

12:07 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Harper Street reported a drunken man trying to break down her door and screaming. She said her father had armed himself with a bat and that the man had gotten into the basement. He was bleeding but refused treatment and was arrested on unknown charges.

4:33 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Catherine Lane reported a woman rang the doorbell, then walked inside. She was given a ride.

5:18 a.m. — A caller from Ridge and Hughes roads reported flooding.

6:47 a.m. — A caller from North Church Street and North Church Court reported flooding.

6:56 a.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Hazel Lane reported a creek flooding.

6:58 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Main Street reported a person sleeping on the steps, who could not be located.

7:51 a.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Wilson Street reported three vehicles had been broken into and a gaming device was missing.

8:53 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Indian Springs Road reported a vomiting deer, which could not be located.

9:34 a.m. — A caller from Spenceville Road and Elnora Drive reported a Husky trying to eat a dear deer in the road, causing a traffic hazard. The dog was gone when deputies arrived.

9:35 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Long Branch Court reported a buck with its antlers struck in something. It was released and ran away.

9:43 a.m. — A caller from Wolf Road reported hearing multiple gunshots.

10:21 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Newtown Road reported a tree had fallen across the westbound lanes.

11:41 a.m. — A caller from Idaho-Maryland Road reported the theft of several items, including a tool box and a stereo.

12:35 p.m. — A caller from the 22000 block of McCourtney Road reported theft via an Internet purchase.

2:53 p.m. — A caller from Lake Forest Drive reported hearing three gunshots.

3:18 p.m. — A caller from Coyote Street reported two vehicles that were trespassing and were stuck. They were admonished.

3:29 p.m. — A caller from Jericho Road reported an indoor marijuana grow.

5:10 p.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and Brunswick Road reported a woman walking aimlessly and babbling to herself with a sheepskin over her head. She was gone when deputies arrived.

6:31 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Pine Cone Circle reported a woman crying to be let in for an hour. It might have been a hound dog.

10:18 p.m. — A caller from Tyler Foote Road reported a tree down.

12:18 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Cascade Drive reported a fare refusing to pay.

5:07 a.m. — A caller from Pleasant Valley Road and Lake Wildwood Drive reported a tree and power lines down.

5:47 a.m. — A caller from Red Dog and Pasquale roads reported a tree branch in the road.

7 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Berggren Lane reported a line down.

7:01 a.m. — A caller from Pleasant Valley and Birchville roads reported lines across the road.

7:11 a.m. — A caller from Rock Creek and Lake Vera-Purdon roads reported a tree in the road that is blocking both lanes.

10:34 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of Nile Street reported that suspects in The Union had stolen his tattoo gun and camera.

5:17 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported two homeless people sleeping in a stairwell. They were moving on.

5:57 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Gold Flat Road reported a tree down that blew out a transformer.

1:57 a.m. — A man from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a physical fight.

6:57 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Union Street reported severe flooding on the first floor of a building.
