A Nevada County Sheriff’s deputy responding to a request for back-up early Tuesday morning ended up in pursuit of a man driving a stolen vehicle. The deputy was responding to the call for backup on a suspicious vehicle report on Lower Colfax and Orzalli roads at just before 5 a.m., said Capt. Jeff Powell.
