Stolen rock saws, raucous parties and puppy troubles

9:19 a.m. — A caller at a business on the 100 block of South Auburn Street relayed a report from the business’ cleaning staff that a transient has been sleeping behind the building and that the back door appears to have been tampered with.

10:45 a.m. — A caller near the Brunswick overpass of Highway 49 reported a vandalism.

11 a.m. — A caller on the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported the theft of a copper brass radiator from a truck.

11:42 a.m. — A caller on the 600 block of Leduc Street reported a possible neighborhood sanitation issue because a resident on the block does not clean up dog feces from his yard but allows children to play in that yard.

6:36 p.m. — A caller on the 300 block of South Church Street reported that her vehicle was rummaged through for the second time in as many weeks, although no items appeared to have been taken.


1:17 p.m. — A caller at a fast food restaurant on Nevada City Highway near Brunswick Road reported that a man he paid upfront in the parking lot previously to fix his car has not done so. Dispatch advised the caller that the issue was a civil matter.

3:07 p.m. — A caller on the 400 block of Maryland Drive reported a burglary.

6:49 p.m. — A caller at a food establishment on the 200 block of Sierra College Drive reported the theft of a mountain bike.

8:50 a.m. — A caller near the intersection of Mooney Flat Road and Highway 20 reported pitbulls that appear to have just had babies were dumped on the side of the road.

9:07 a.m. — A caller on the 19400 block of Tiger Lilly Lane reported a vandalism.

9:39 a.m. — A caller on the 20000 block of Oak Tree Road reported the theft of carpenter tools.

10:38 a.m. — A marijuana compliance check was performed at residence on the 11500 block of Ridge Road.

12:20 a.m. — A caller on the 19600 block of Tiger Lily Lane reported vandalism to five of her vehicles overnight.

2:38 p.m. — A caller on the 16200 block of Brooks Road reported the theft of a camera and GPS device from her unlocked vehicle.

5:57 p.m. — A caller on the 10000 block of San Francisco Street reported the theft of a rock saw. The caller was reportedly irritated that his incident was not a priority call for the sheriff’s office.

11:25 p.m. — A caller on the 23200 block of Clover Court reported a loud party with inebriated individuals yelling in the street and breaking bottles.


6:46 a.m.— A caller on the 10100 block of Valley Drive reported a tree fell on him and injured his leg.

10:07 a.m. — A caller on the 15100 block of Greenhorn Road reporter that his wife is acting strange, and he suspects she may burn his property. He said she has done it before.

1:30 p.m. — A caller on the 16600 block of George Way reported a boulder in the roadway.

6:29 p.m. — A caller on the 11800 block of Landon Lane reported the theft of jewelry.

Sunday — A caller on the 16300 block of David Way reported her tires were slashed.
