Police Blotter: Bathing in the bathroom, clubbed dog


Grass Valley Police Department

Monday — 63 calls for service

9 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported the theft of copper pipe and electrical wire.

10:01 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a transient bathing in the bathroom.

10:21 a.m. — A caller from the 1300 block of Whispering Pines Drive reported illegal dumping.

1:14 p.m. — A man from the 500 block of Neal Street reported his neighbor stole gas out of his gas tank.

4:26 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of South School Street reported a neighbor threw a club at her dog and hit it.

7:04 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of East Main Street reported the theft of a computer and other items from a vehicle.

8:45 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Olympia Park Road reported the theft of a cell phone.

Tuesday

1:22 a.m. — A caller from Race and Clark streets reported a man yelling that everyone was going to hell and pounding on doors. He was advised to leave.

9:16 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 10000 block of Alta Sierra Drive reported a former employee had overcharged about 25 customers by adding tips to credit card receipts.

9:32 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Cathy Drive reported a theft.

10:18 a.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Dog Bar Road reported his neighbor’s goats were in his yard, eating expensive foliage.

10:47 a.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Warbler Way reported a verbal dispute with a woman pulling a phone line out of the wall. She was arrested on suspicion of damaging phone lines and committing a felony while on bail.

12:09 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lower Colfax Road reported credit cards had been opened in the caller’s name.

2:21 p.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Rough and Ready Road reported a phone scam from a man purporting to be from Veteran Affairs and asking him for his bank account information.

2:54 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Rock Creek Road reported a mountain lion had been on the property three times in the past week.

4:42 p.m. — A woman from Biladeau Lane reported a person body-slammed her Saturday and stole $100 of Christmas and birthday presents.

5:21 p.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready Highway reported possible ongoing child abuse.

Tuesday

4:10 a.m. — A woman from the 16000 block of Alexandra Way reported noises that sounded like someone trying to climb up a balcony. Everything was OK.

Monday — 16 calls for service

1:14 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported a shoplifter in a physical fight with employees. A man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
