Police Blotter: Tree branch shelter, loud boom

Sunday — 61 calls for service

8:49 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a radio had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle, and a second vehicle had been gone through.

10:19 a.m. — A caller from Sutton Way reported a man who was passed out. He was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance without a prescription and possessing drug paraphernalia.

11:29 a.m. — A caller from Murphy and Main streets reported juveniles putting water bottles in the road. Nothing was located.

12:11 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported the theft of a tractor and trailer.

12:16 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Manor Drive reported a man building a shelter out of tree branches behind a residence.

12:55 p.m. — A caller from the 1100 block of East Main Street reported vandalism to two vehicles, possibly in an attempt to steal them.

1:25 p.m. — A man was cited on suspicion of shoplifting in the 100 block of West McKnight Way.

5:40 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man shoplifted items, which were returned, but that he might be driving under the influence. He could not be located.

5:50 p.m. — A caller from the 70 block of Taylorville Road reported three men left without paying their bill.

6:35 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Penstock Drive reported possible drug activity.

6:53 p.m. — A caller from Dog Bar Road and Alta Sierra Drive reported two men in a Jeep shooting at deer from the vehicle with a dead deer on board. They could not be located.

7:41 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a woman offered him sex for drugs, which he declined. She was advised to move on.

8:53 p.m. — A man from Henderson Street reported people were chasing him.

10:47 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Highlands Court reported he caught a man going through his vehicle. He said he chased him, but the suspect jumped a fence.


5:54 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Stewart Street reported a man passed out in a stairwell, who was moving on.

11:25 a.m. — A woman from the 15000 block of Hummer Lane reported a person throwing garbage all over at her residence.

11:43 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Northview Drive reported the theft of a motor from a boat.

12:33 p.m. — A caller from Old Washington Road reported a resort putting on a concert without permits. At 6:27 p.m., a caller reported a loud party; they would be turning the music down.

1 p.m. — A caller from River Ranch and Dog Bar roads reported promiscuous shooting.

3:46 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Round Valley Drive reported vandalism to landscaping.

5:02 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Matthew Road reported a man shooting a black-market gun.

6:43 p.m. — A man from Elderberry Lane reported the theft of six marijuana plants.

7:56 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of North Bloomfield-Graniteville Road reported a woman screaming.

9:08 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 reported a vehicle’s windshield possibly had been shot out.

9:27 p.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Francis Drive reported his ex-wife was pounding on his door and refusing to leave. She then left.
