Busy day at Grass Valley residence ends in arrest

Four separate visits by law enforcement to a single Grass Valley residence Monday ended in one man’s arrest on vandalism. trespassing and criminal threat charges and another man being cited on suspicion of assault with tear gas.

Grass Valley Police officers were called out to the apartment building in the 100 block of Maryland Drive at about 3:15 p.m. Monday in response to a report of a man yelling, banging on a door and threatening to kill someone, according to dispatch report.

While the report indicated the man might have a gun, it was found to have been a verbal threat only, said Capt. Rex Marks.

Daniel Allen Terry, 44, of Yuba City, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, trespassing and making criminal threats and was booked into county jail in lieu of $11,500 bail.

Police responded to the same address, on an unrelated call, at a little after 11 p.m. for a report of a man and a woman kicking in a door and threatening people with a knife.

The couple was gone when officers arrived, but were reportedly located on Neal Street.

The pair — identified as Melissa King and Tymol Robertson — were admonished and advised not to return. The victim did not want to press charges, Marks said.

At 11:30 p.m., officers returned to the residence to return a wallet to a 19-year-old man identified as Dylan Rowe.

At 11:58 p.m., officers again returned in response to a report that someone had been assaulted with pepper spray. King and Robertson were the alleged victims and Rowe the suspect, according to dispatch reports. Rowe was cited and released.

No further details were available regarding that incident, Marks said.
