Police blotter: Neighbor's floodlights prompt angry call

Sunday

8:33 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glasson Way reported a woman was just released from the ER, was under the influence of multiple substances and causing a disturbance in the parking lot. She was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

10:09 a.m. — A caller from Harris and Eureka streets reported the theft of a purse from a vehicle; the purse contained prescription medications.

1:41 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Race Street reported the theft of $1,000 in jewelry from a garage.

3:21 p.m. — A caller reported a woman’s boyfriend was letting a child play with live ammo.

4:21 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Celesta Drive reported two girls might have tried to break into a truck, then left the scene.

5:10 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported a man looking in vehicles.

5:29 p.m. — A woman from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported a man on a Harley stole her car keys and drove away. A report was taken.

5:51 p.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of Sutton Way reported an assault victim.

8:17 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Buena Vista Street reported an attempted burglary.

11:31 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Clark Street reported a neighbor left work lights on, violating a restraining order. A floodlight was directed toward the caller’s house. The neighbor said he left it on so he could get through the side yard and would turn it off when he got inside. He said this was the 30th time law enforcement has been called on him.

1:27 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Ridge Road reported a burglary with a vehicle taken.

2:24 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Miners Way reported possible financial elder abuse.

3:38 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Bodie Ridge Road reported finding scrapes on a sliding door and a screen door having been opened.

5:58 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Ridge Road reported the possible theft of various items, including a license plate, from a vehicle.

6:04 p.m. — A caller from Pleasant Valley School reported a trespasser.

7:36 p.m. — A caller from Indian Springs and Eddy Ranch roads reported trees down in the road and a broken water line.

7:37 p.m. — Several callers from St. Helena Drive reported target shooting upsetting horses.

8:55 p.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready Highway and Matas Wecks Drive reported 20 to 30 gunshots. Nothing was located.

9:55 p.m. — A caller from Alexandra Way reported two gunshots. It was quiet when a deputy arrived.

Monday

12:42 a.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Highway 49 reported two runaway juveniles, who returned within the hour.

1:23 a.m. — A caller from Wanderer Road reported eight gunshots; it was quiet on arrival.

7:48 a.m. — A woman from Mindy Lane reported her cat was stuck 50 feet up a tree.

Friday

10:30 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Spring Street reported more than $4,000 had been fraudulently charged to a credit card.

3:19 p.m. — A caller from the District Attorney’s office reported a woman in a vehicle for more than an hour who might be drunk. She was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

5:13 p.m. — A caller from Pioneer Park reported 20 to 30 teens smoking marijuana and drinking. No one was located.

7:18 p.m. — A woman from Highway 49 and Coyote Street reported the back window of her vehicle had been smashed.

7:24 p.m. — A man from Zion Street reported his wife just beat him up. He said she hit him seven times in the face, and that they both were drunk. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public; the domestic violence allegation was unfounded.

10:42 p.m. — A caller from Broad and Cottage streets reported several drunken men running after a speeding SUV. They could not be located.

Saturday

2:22 a.m. — A caller from Sacramento Street reported hearing three gunshots.

3:05 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of East Broad Street reported a man trying to get in a door; he was taken to the hospital.

10:18 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Argall Way reported a physical fight with a person being punched. A woman was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer.

Sunday

12:49 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported a fight, which was mediated.
