Police blotter: Gun on campus turns out to be AirSoft pellet gun


Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

12:03 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Ivy Street reported a man who might be extremely drunk was driving up and down the road, yelling and cussing. He could not be located.

1:16 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported a drug deal in progress.

3:10 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Mill Street reported a woman took a dress and left n foot. The dress was returned and no charges were desired.

5 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Mercury Drive reported a residential burglary.

5:04 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Olympia Park Drive reported a vehicle burglary.

7:01 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Taylorville Road reported the theft of a fanny pack that contained credit cards, Social Security cards and $10.

9:16 p.m. — A caller from Upper Slate Creek and Ridge roads reported a man took a vehicle.

Thursday

12:40 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Springhill Drive reported a woman screaming for help. A woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Wednesday

9:02 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Lakeshore North reported the theft of her mail.

10:50 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Banner Lava Cap Road reported the theft of loss of camera equipment.

11:35 a.m. — A caller from Scotten School reported a juvenile brought a firearm onto campus. It was found to be an unloaded AirSoft gun; the juvenile was admonished, to be punished by the school, and released to a parent.

11:38 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road requested a welfare check on a St. Bernard that appeared injured a month ago and now appeared neglected. A notice was posted at the residence.

1:17 p.m. — A caller from Honey Mushroom Lane reported a woman was threatening a dog.

2:24 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported a boy was assaulted by a teacher.

3:36 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Poplar Road reported Internet fraud.

3:49 p.m. — A caller from Hoyt’s Crossing reported a man was assaulted by a group of drunken juveniles, with about 18 people involved. No medical attention was needed. State Park was handling the call.

4:51 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Alta Sierra Drive reported a road rage incident, with a man getting out of his vehicle and threatening the caller with a stick.

6:01 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lower Circle Drive reported a woman screaming for help. Another caller reported a man assaulting a woman. They said it was verbal only.

7:41 p.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready Highway and Stagecoach Way reported a person on a dirt bike doing wheelies and not wearing a helmet.

9:35 p.m. — A man from the 19000 block of West Ridge Drive reported a residential burglary.

4:01 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of West Broad Street reported a drunken driver got out of his vehicle and urinated on the wheel.

9:36 p.m. — A caller form the 100 block of North Pine Street reported a very drunken woman just drove away; she could not be located.
