Police blotter: Caller reports man barking at dogs


Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

6:59 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and West McKnight Way reported a light pole lying in the roadway.

10:43 a.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported ongoing issues with transients and squatters.

1:27 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported “gang” graffiti on a bathroom wall.

3:47 p.m. — A caller from Colfax Avenue and Clark Street reported three men in flannel shirts were throwing beer bottles. They could not be located.

3:53 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a man and a woman with a small infant setting up a camp. A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

5:44 p.m. — A caller from Walsh and South School streets reported a road rage incident with a person circling the neighborhood.

7:11 p.m. — A caller from Butler and Minnie streets reported juveniles breaking a fence post with a rock.

9:09 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Hughes Road reported the windows to a business had been broken.

9:51 a.m. — A caller from Pleasant Valley and Sweetland roads reported a possible sick wolf or coyote.

11:45 a.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Halcon Crest Court reported a burglary to a garage with toolboxes missing.

1:30 p.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of Auburn Road reported being attacked by a man. The situation was mediated.

1:33 p.m. — A caller from Cameo Drive reported a possum possibly dying of rabies.

1:35 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Mooney Flat Road reported people trespassing on private property. No one was located.

2:38 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lodestar Drive reported vandalism to a retaining wall. The caller was referred to CHP for a hit and run report.

5:50 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of McCourtney Road reported a man climbing over the main gate of the fairgrounds. No one was located.

6:11 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Alta Vista Avenue reported the theft of an electric bicycle from a front porch.

9:42 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported a man and a woman in a physical fight.

10:55 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Matthew Road reported a man was outside yelling and barking at the neighbor’s dogs. He could not be located.

1:56 a.m. — A caller from 23000 block of Singing Hills Court reported a man driving a Suburban crashed into a house and left.

5:24 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Hollow Way reported a burglary to the back of a business with the door split and damage to a room.

6:05 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Nimrod Street reported people smoking pot and screaming at the sky.

Sunday

3:41 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Martin Street reported a man knocking at the door who said he was drunk and didn’t know where he was.
