Police blotter: Woman reports being called fat, a slob


Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

8:08 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of Mill Street reported an unlocked truck was entered and a small amount of cash and clothes were taken.

10:49 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of Marshall Street reported vandalism to a gate.

11:30 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a transient camp set up by the dumpsters. A person was admonished.

12:56 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Forest Glade Circle reported three teens riding mini-bikes that are not street legal, and popping wheelies. They were admonished.

1:36 p.m. — A caller from North Church Street reported a man driving a vehicle, with a lot of drugs and a gun. The area was checked.

2:28 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported an assault patient. The man reported he had been drinking and blacked out, and when he woke up, his jaw was fractured. He might have fallen, but could not recall. He did not want to file a report.

7:15 p.m. — A caller from Buena Vista Street reported drug activity.

8:52 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of West Main Street reported about seven people fighting, and one man had a pistol. It was a paintball gun; a report was taken.

12:13 p.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Grass Valley Avenue reported vandalism to his vehicle.

1:09 p.m. — A caller from the Ponderosa overpass on Highway 20 reported juveniles possibly throwing items off the bridge.

2:08 p.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of Del Ta Don reported trespassers trying to start a fight. It was a civil matter.

2:09 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Tumbling Creek Road reported persistently receiving emails concerning the sale of cocaine.

2:17 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Carriage Road reported identity theft.

5:09 p.m. — A caller from the South Yuba River bridge reported a woman stuck on a rock in the river; the call was transferred to Cal Fire.

5:36 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Ivey Lane reported vandalism to a gate.

6:39 p.m. — A woman reported her roommate wouldn’t let her touch her things, and was calling her fat and a slob.

6:46 p.m. — A caller from the Alta Sierra Country Club reported a man and his son fishing from the pond.

7:05 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Woodruff Court reported a missing gun.

7:22 p.m. — A caller from Empire Mine reported hearing gunshots. It was quiet when a deputy arrived.

7:27 p.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of Thunder Road reported a person banging on all the windows.

7:47 p.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Pioneer Way reported a possible stolen vehicle.

7:55 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Gautier Drive reported the theft of bicycles from a garage.

7:59 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 10000 block of Alta Sierra Drive reported ongoing thefts by a juvenile who was refusing to leave. No one was located.

8:21 p.m. — A caller from Purdon Crossing reported a woman could not be located. She had gotten a ride to Nevada City from Edwards Crossing.

11:48 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Monte Vista Drive reported a man was vandalizing a house, then left.

12:09 a.m. — A caller from Commercial Street reported a man throwing a chair over the bar. A computer, bottles and glasses were broken. A report was taken.

Sunday

9:55 p.m. — A man from Broad Street reported he had been assaulted by a group of white supremacists. He did not want to file a report.
