Networked Insurance Agents’ move signals a fresh start
April 17, 2014
Networked Insurance Agents, an insurance aggregator connecting independent agencies to top P/C carriers, will relocate its headquarters on April 22 to the Whispering Pines Business Park in Grass Valley, signaling the beginning of the company's new ownership.
"It's a nice way to demonstrate the new ownership and the new direction as a positive shift in the culture of our company" Networked spokesperson Natalie Flightner told The Union.
"We had an ownership change in September, and so now with a new owner, we now have a new fresh start in a new building and will be able to kind of make it our own."
Founded in 1993, the company claims to connect independent P/C agencies to relevant markets and service resources to help them grow.
With offices statewide, Networked's more than 100 staff members serve more than 1,200 affiliate members in 10 Western States and is appointed by more than 50 national and regional P/C insurance carriers.
With 75 local staff professionals, Networked was purchased last fall by a small group that includes principal investors George Biancardi, Kelly McRae and Larry Oslie.
The company has been planning to move from its current office near the Nevada County Fairgrounds to the 400 block of Crowne Point Circle since November 2013. It began construction and renovation on the building in February.
"We are continually working to improve our service level for our growing affiliate base." Networked owner Biancardi said.
"The change in venue to a new building designed for our exact needs will create a positive environment of camaraderie and support collaboration across the organization."
The company says the move is in line with its goals for future growth and delivery of industry leading service to its agency membership across the western United States.
"Bringing our staff into a freshly appointed, professional setting puts the entire team in the mind-set to serve our members better than ever," Vice President Scott Smith said. "It also shows … commitment to supporting the employees in Grass Valley."
Networked has signed a lease for the new office building with Pacific Land Enterprises, whose management representative says Networked will be one of the business park's largest employers.
"We are thrilled to accommodate Networked Insurance Agents' office needs in Whispering Pines," Pacific Land Enterprises President Jeff Johnson, said. "Networked will be one of the business park's largest employers, and its presence will help invigorate the park."
