Plan It Solar promotes Nesbit

Plan it Solar Inc has announced the promotion of Michele Nesbit to the position of director of operations for both Plan it Solar and its sister company, Sierra Solar.

In this new role, Nesbit will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and overseeing the design and installation of commercial and residential solar energy systems.

Nesbit joined Plan It Solar in September 2012, and has primarily been focused on designing off-grid solar energy systems for Sierra Solar customers. Prior to joining the company, she worked as a project manager for a Connecticut-based company working on large-scale, multi-family energy efficiency renovation projects.

Nesbit holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and material science and engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

“We are extremely excited to announce this new role for Michele,” said Plan It Solar CEO Gil Mathew. “Since joining us last September she has proven to be an invaluable asset and a natural leader. We are looking forward to her positive influence and leadership across all of the operations in both companies. And with our recent addition of in-house solar installation services, Michele will be able to coordinate and manage customer projects from start to finish.”

Plan It Solar, purchased in February of 2011 by Mathew and business partner Anna Bousouris, focuses on the Northern California residential and commercial solar markets. Working from offices in Grass Valley, Plan It Solar employs a team of 12 staff members representing 50-plus combined years of solar system design, installation and support experience.
