You have an idea. A really big idea that could be a game changer in either your personal life or your business life. A decision needs to be made. All the signs are telling you to go for it. Yet, you are hesitating. You have fear around really going for it. You imagine there being a big risk if you go for it and it doesn’t work out. There most likely is a big risk. However, the rewards of going for it and achieving it could be so amazingly sweet.
How do you get yourself to move past the fear and go for it?
As Joseph Campbell puts it, “We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”
How many times in your life have you let go of something good, only to find that something better shows up?
Well, it may be that time again in your life to make the move. No more stagnation or toleration. Time to take your life back.
Here is how you can do it. Take a big gulp!
Be the first to believe you can accomplish it, and it will all work out. Don’t wait for others.
Ignite yourself. Get a clear vision of what actually living your achievement looks like and even feels like. When you have a clear vision, you ignite the fire in your belly that will keep you going until it is achieved.
Generate leverage and power. Rally others to your cause. You may find that you will do more to not let others down than you will to help yourself up. Orchestrate it so you will do what you need to do to get it done.
Guide your thoughts. Continually check in with yourself and ask, what is the work that your vision or goal needs to have you do to bring it to life?
Uncover what is really holding you back. Anything worth having is worth fighting for. Most worthy endeavors are paved with resistance as you move closer. Identify what you really need to address to break through the resistance and keep on keeping on.
Lean into it. Start from where you are rather then where you think you should be. Often it is just a small shift or movement in the right direction that will create the needed momentum to pull you through
Progress vs. perfection will win the day. Anyone who has not made a mistake has not made anything. Don’t get caught up in doing it perfectly. Get caught up in noticing and celebrating the progress you are making. This will get you to the other side.
Make it up, make it fun and make it happen!
