Byers' Roofing Systems offers Corning shingles

As of July, Byers’ Roofing Systems offers Owens Corning Roofing shingles and accessories to its residential customers as a Platinum Preferred Contractor.

Owens Corning and Asphalt LLC selected Byers’ Roofing Systems to join its top tier of roofing professionals based on the company’s demonstrated commitment to service, reliability and unparalleled craftsmanship.

Considered one of the most exclusive contractor networks in the industry, Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Roofing Contractors represents less than one half percent of the roofing contractors in the industry.

Byers’ is the 206th company to be accepted into the network and the only Platinum Preferred level roofing contractor in Nevada County.

“It’s an honor to be selected to represent Owens Corning, especially at the Platinum Preferred Contractor level,” said Jeff Fierstein of Byers’ Roofing Systems.

“Owens Corning glass fiber mat is still the material of choice and used by other shingle manufacturers in their own shingles. Owens Corning actually invented fiberglass shingles in their Santa Clara facility and continues to set new standards in product aesthetics and performance and sustainable roofing solutions. We are proud to have Owens Corning recognize us for our own high standards, as well,” said Fierstein.

“The best part of our affiliation with Owens Corning is the impact on our customers,” he said. “We can now offer them a broader range of solutions that are unavailable to most roofing contractors, including sustainable roofing systems and enhanced warranties from the most recognizable brand in the industry.”

Among the many benefits of the Owens Corning roofing products are several high-performance features that make them ideal for Nevada County weather conditions, including Fiberglas mat that adds weather protection, greater fire resistance and longer life, Class A Fire Rating, the highest available for residential applications, weathering-grade asphalt that holds the granules on the shingle and protects the roof from water, heat-activated adhesive strip that bonds shingles into a single, watertight unit, wind resistance rating for winds and gusts up to 110 mph depending on the shingle style selected.

“Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Preferred Contractor network members are chosen based on their proven market and industry leadership,” said Matt Lawver, Owens Corning contractor services leader. “The network underscores Owens Corning’s commitment to providing value within the building materials industry and ensuring our roofing contractors have the tools and business solutions they need to grow their business.

“We extend a hearty welcome to Byers’ Roofing Systems of Grass Valley, Calif. They have certainly earned their Platinum Preferred Contractor status.”
