Grass Valley’s Fourth of July parade included 75 entries ranging from marching bands and nonprofits to schools and local businesses.
Best Auto included High Sierra Corvette Club in first, Empire Mine Museum in second and Oak Lodge Fire Truck in third.
Best Individual was won by Grass Valley’s Town Crier Robert Russell.
Grass Valley Fire Department won Best Overall Fire Department by taking first place, followed by Rough and Ready Fire Department in second and Nevada City Fire Department in third.
Best Commercial was won by Towers Casino in first place, Nevada County Beekeepers Association in second and BAM Tapestry in third.
Gold Country Gymnastics won first place for Best Junior Group, Nevada County 4-H won second and American Heritage Girls third.
NEO received the award for Best Band, followed by the Lyman Gilmore Marching Band in second and the Union Hill Marching Band in third.
Best Marching Group was won by The Marching Presidents for first, Nevada Union Junior Miners for second and Jazzercise for third.
Robinson Timber, The Odd Fellows Lodge, The Tea Party Patriots and the Democratic Party received Honorable Mentions.
Awards can be picked up at the Grass Valley Downtown Association at 125 Neal St. in downtown Grass Valley.
