Lady Miners make it 8 in a row

The Nevada Union girls basketball team turned in another outstanding performance at home Saturday night in a great all-around team effort as it defeated a highly ranked Christian Brothers squad to win its eighth straight, 74-51. Kaylin Martin proved to be a dominating force for the Lady Miners, as she dropped in 18 points to lead the way. Nicole Lierly was a nearly equal threat offensively with her 17 points, while Sydney Porter returned from illness and came up big, putting in 13 points.
