Nevada County added 350 jobs to the work force from July to August, according to statistics provided by the California Labor Market Information Division. The government sector was largely responsible for the increase in jobs, 460 jobs month over month, according to the labor division. The large leap in jobs was offset by losses in the wholesale trade market, the leisure and hospitality industry and a slight decrease in manufacturing jobs.
