Jernigan's to appreciate customers

September is customer appreciation month at Jernigan’s Tap House & Grill. Each day they will have raffle drawing for clothes and prizes, plus they are bringing in the staff’s favorite brews, brew masters and high-knowledge beer experts for a very special series of Pint Nights. Drake’s Brewing, Deschutes Brewery and TapIt Brewing Co., along with a cast of hoppy and happy characters will be featured.

Located on the 100 block of Argall Way in Nevada City, Jernigan’s began its ongoing raffle ticket sales on August 27, for $1 a ticket. Drawings will be at 2:30 p.m. each afternoon, and there is no need to be present to win. Fifty-percent of raffle ticket proceeds will go to benefit local organizations such as SYRCL, Celebration of Life Triathlon (Barbara Schmidt Millar Memorial fund) and Deer Creek School.

All this is just a warm-up for the seasonal Autumn Beer and Food Pairing event on Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. More details on this event are coming soon.

Sean Cox is the proprietor and manager of Jernigan’s Tap House & Grill, a neighborhood pub and grill featuring 13 rotating craft beer taps and fresh, regionally grown food. He is a partner in Ambrosia Hop Yards. His column on craft beer, “Brewmance,” appears monthly in The Union.
