I wanted to share a formula with you that has proven to help hundreds of thousands of people significantly increase their sales and substantially grow their businesses.
This formula will help you surpass your goals, improve relationships and can even help you get your health back. The good news is you can do it yourself. You don’t have to buy anything or hire anyone to show you how to do it.
What is it you really want for yourself? What is the something you may have even given up on? Would you like to know the recipe that people follow who are getting what they want?
Here is the six step formula that you can follow:
1. Declare what you want. In Janet Atwood’s book, “The Passion Test,” she tells her readers, “When you are clear about what you want, what you want will show up, and only to the extent you are clear.” Most people don’t have what they want because they simply are not clear. Once you get clear, declare it to yourself and any stakeholders that can help hold you accountable to making it happen. This kind of leverage is powerful.
2. Be willing to do whatever it takes (legally, morally and ethically) to make it happen. One of the most decisive factors in people’s success or failure is their degree of willingness. It is will, not skill, that takes people to the top. There are plenty of gifted and talented people who are not willing to pay the price and therefore not achieving their goals on a consistent basis. Oftentimes you will find you don’t actually have to do the something you may be fearing. However, just by being willing to do that something, it can move you to the next level toward your achievement.
3. Create a ritual. There is incredible power in ritual. In Albert E.N. Gray’s book, “The Common Denominator of Success,” he lets us in on the secret that “Successful people make it a habit of doing the things unsuccessful people are not willing to do.” There is that “willing” word again. Habits are another key.
Nowhere in his book does he say the successful people necessarily like doing those things failures are not willing to do. Successful people do, however, make it a habit. In any accomplishment of a goal there were repetitive actions that needed to be executed in order for its achievement. Identify the necessary habits you need to develop. Build them into your day.
4. Be content. No matter where you find yourself, there you are. There doesn’t need to be a story about where you think you should be or need to be right now. You are where you are. Just realize it is your starting point.
Shift your focus from what you don’t have to what you do have. Shift your focus from what’s wrong to what’s right. When you appreciate what you have and what’s going right you will feel more empowered. When you are more empowered, you can do more and do better. By the way, shifting your focus is a great habit to create for yourself.
5. Take action. Elvis Presley had it right with his 1968 hit — A little less conversation and a lot more action. There is work that each of your goals is screaming for you to do so it can come into the world. Pay attention to the conversation and take a lot more action.
6. Celebrate progress. Don’t get stuck in perfection. Look for the progress. At the end of each day, celebrate the progress you made toward your objectives. What tasks did you complete? What relationships did you establish or deepen? What did you learn? If you journal your progress every day and review what you have accomplished on a weekly basis, you will start to feel more and more inspired.
