Wild Mountain Yoga Center, offering classes in Nevada City for almost 20 years, has now branched out to open a second studio in downtown Grass Valley. The new studio is located at 121 South Church St. and is currently offering classes seven days a week.
“We want to make yoga accessible and affordable to everyone,” said studio owner Amanda Dozal. “The second location gives us the opportunity to offer a wider variety of classes and class times, and to reach out to people who haven’t taken classes before.”
Wild Mountain now offers more than 100 classes each week between the two studios, including hatha, kundalini, flow, prenatal, kids yoga, meditation, teacher trainings, international teachers and more.
One of our newest and most popular classes to the schedule is yogahour, a one-hour, all-levels class described by the studio as “an hour of power and play” or “recess for adults,” according to Dozal. “Yogahour is a high energy, super fun, flow class that works with intelligent alignment and articulation. It is designed to be a doable but difficult practice. This class is perfect for fit beginners to advanced practitioners.” The class is offered at an $8 cash drop-in, making it the most affordable yoga class in the area.
Wild Mountain will be hosting a Studio Warming party from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The event will be catered with live music from Leta Blues and raffles for class passes and apparel. The Studio Warming is open to the public, and all are encouraged to come celebrate the new expansion.
Locals who are new to Wild Mountain can get their first two weeks of classes at both studios for $20. Those interested are encouraged to stop by either location or visit www.wildmtyoga.com.
