Feb. 5 through 7: YOSEMITE/TENAYA LODGE. Includes bus transportation and driver tip, two nights at the Tenaya Lodge, hosted dinner at the lodge on the first night, one dinner and two breakfasts, and hosted lunch at the Ahwanee Lodge in Yosemite Valley. 7:30 a.m. Park & Ride, 8 a.m. SPD.

March 16: TURMOIL AT PROFESSOR MING'S MANSION. Those who saw last year's show will love the sequel as the saga continues in this bilingual operatic play. Includes lunch at Cathay House in Chinatown. 7:30 Park & Ride, 8 a.m. SPD.

Golden Empire Sams RV Club

The club camp out of Nov. 11 through 15 was hosted by Roger and Marilyn Lilly at the Feather Falls Casino KOA in Oroville. Eleven rigs were represented with one guest rig joining the camp out. The event included games, potluck dinners and a brief business meeting that included a freewill donation to Cancer Aid and a final local dinner outing.

The club's next event is a luncheon that will take place Dec. 12, hosted by Ron and Nadine Brown, at the Trolley Junction Restaurant in Nevada City. Those interested in attending club activities and/or exploring membership are encouraged to contact our Membership Chairman, Roger Lilly at (530) 477-1799 or our president, Fred Fluke, at (530) 823-5562.

Happy Trails Travelers

Nevada County Travel Club

We meet the second Wednesday of every month at the United Methodist Church of Grass Valley. A three-course lunch is served at 12:30 p.m. with time for tour sign ups, payments and socializing beforehand. A travel program follows lunch. All are welcome to attend, get to know the members and tour with the groups. To make a reservation, call Pat at (530) 274-9565. Oct. 9 through 16, 2013: Colors of New England: Round-trip Grass Valley to Boston then on to the charming and vibrant northern states of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
