Handy persons needed
Are you experienced with minor home repairs and looking for ways to give back to the community? If so, FREED would like to have you volunteer for their Fix It Program! From ramp construction to grab bar installation and minor plumbing or electrical repairs, you can commit to a project of your interest. The need is great. Will you help fix it?
A new mother can face many challenges after giving birth to that adorable bundle. Becoming a hospital volunteer requires background checks, medical and TB screening and signing a confidentiality agreement.
Friendly visitor volunteers
As a volunteer with the Friendly Visitor program you can make a profound and personal difference in the life of a senior or person with a disability. You need no special expertise; you will be asked to make a weekly visit of one or two hours; you will receive ongoing training and guidance. Consideration is given to matching you with a person of similar interests.
