Christian Science Church/Reading Room and Bookstore

Stop by to visit our weekly live audio chats on Tuesdays, including Q&A, with a professional healer on current topics. "Persistence in Healing," is the topic for this coming Tuesday. God never abandons us and His power is more than sufficient to care for our every need. Join us from 11 a.m. to noon at 147 Mill St. (our bookstore for spiritual resources). Join our open Wednesday meetings for sharing about healing from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. After hearing verses from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy on a theme, participants are invited to share personal examples of Christian healing and gratitude for God's care. The meeting is followed by greeting and fellowship.

Stop by any Sunday at 10:00 a.m. to visit our weekly worship service centered on a sermon directly from the Bible and science and health. A Sunday School is held at the same time where students up to the age of 20 learn all about the Bible and how to apply its timeless spiritual lessons in their lives (childcare is provided).

Pacific Union College Choir and Handbell Choir will perform a sacred concert on May 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary, concert is free and open to the public. During the service on May 17, Sierra Master Chorale will perform selections from their spring concert repertoires. Save the date: Vacation Bible School will be held June 16 through 20, for children in grades kindergarten through 8th grade.

Sierra Center for Spiritual Living

Unity in the Gold Country

Mountain Stream Meditation Center

Our Buddhist Insight Meditation group meets every Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Mountain Stream Meditation Center, 710 Zion St., Nevada City.

Grass Valley United Methodist Church

Our Contemplative Service Begins at 8:45 a.m. followed by our Traditional Service at 10:30 a.m. Coffee fellowship follows each service. The Healing Rooms of Nevada County

We pray for healing of body and spirit. Everyone is welcome whether they attend church or not.

Come to the Main Lobby of the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, 155 Glasson Way, Grass Valley on the first and third Thursdays of each month, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Pray Nevada County

We seek God on behalf of our communities. Open to all for prayer, Pray Nevada County meets each Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. to pray for our county governments and services, schools and families, businesses and media, and churches and parachurch ministries.

Since August 1997, 15 to 25 people from eight to 12 congregations have met each week to pray for our communities.
